Was just at MSU game and saw the Orange Out. This offer came on a school visit from Martinez. Kid already had OSU and Bama too…

Probably more an interior guy at the next level and he's raw but he's very athletic with a great frame. Will need to clean things up and sit at next level but his ceiling is very high. Just added all the big offers (Ohio State, Bama, etc)

Committed to ole Miss. wonder why we never pushed here.
Who knows, maybe we did. But remember, state pride aside - which certainly isn’t a thing for everyone, and 100 year program history aside - which not every kid cares about like us diehard fans, Ole Miss is pretty much just as attractive as Tennessee if not more so for Memphis kids given it’s like a 40 minute drive instead of a 7 hour one. And they over the past 5 years have been as or more competitive than us.

If we push to flip and are able to, it would be a big win.

Yeah, they’ve been to one playoff and we’ve been to one playoff. Not sure how much more competitive they’ve been than Tennessee

I’m not any happier about it than you are. Getting pissed off just typing it. Their past 5 seasons: 10, 8, 11, 10, and 13 wins. Ours: 7, 11, 9, 10, and 8 wins. And 0-1 against ole Miss, at home. Double digit wins should be the floor if we want to claim being contenders.

lol. 0-1 against a team with a 62 man roster and a slew of sanctions. Outside of last year’s run, Ole Miss hasn’t done anything special that creates this separation you claim. Let’s see how they roll without Kiffin. Different program now

I think once chambliss is gone they’ll fall back down where they belong.

Ole Miss has won double digit games each of last three seasons. Heupel has accomplished that feat twice. Ole Miss has been a noticeable tier above Tennessee. The 'outside of one year run' would be Tennessee in 2022 rather. There is a clear jump to be made now under Heupel. This is going to be Heupel's 6th season. He doesn't really get the "well he had sanctions to deal with" excuse anymore. It's time to show what he can do with all his players. Last year was first chance to do that and he won zero ranked games. I'm not saying Heupel needs to be fired, but nothing he said was objectively wrong, especially the note that if we want to act like we are contenders, then we need to be winning double digit games Winning 8 or fewer regular season games every other year is not a consistent enough level of success

Learn to read. Heupel came in his first year with a disadvantage with 62 scholarship players and a slew of sanctions. That’s a fact. It’s also a fact it took several questionable calls and a horrendous call where a TD was called back against Tyler Baron. You point to 2022, what about 2024 when Tennessee was in the playoffs and Ole Miss wasn’t. If you guys want to put your knee pads on for them, feel free. Outside of last year, they didn’t beat anyone of consequence to be in the mix.

Heupel came into those sanctions SIX YEARS AGO. That can't be an excuse to live off any more. In 2024, Ole Miss won the same number of games as Tennessee and BEAT GEORGIA. IS GEORGIA NOT "ANYONE OF CONSEQUENCE"?????? 2022 was the only season of the last four that Tennessee was the clearly better team. DId Heupel have 62 scholarship players each of the past couple of seasons when he went 8-4 in two of the last three seasons? Won zero ranked games in both of those 8 win seasons. 2024 has been the clear exception of the past three seasons. Nothing in my message had anything to do with the fact that Ole Miss won that game several years ago. That was FIVE YEARS AGO. Heupel does not just need time to get his own guys in now. When do they update the same talking points people have said that they did half a decade ago that I evidently need to read?

Save the all caps short bus. The original comment compared Kiffin’s tenure and Heupel’s tenure. The first year was brought into the conversation and deserves clarification. Not my problem you’re struggling with this. You came barreling in with your own agenda. You’ve made this out to be way more than it ever is. Feel free to continue to carry water for a program that’s about to come back down to earth and scream the sky is falling for a program that’s brought in new coaches and talented young players. Too many miserable pricks on this board

I don't have an agenda lol. He said Ole Miss has been a better program recently and I agreed with that. They have been equal to or better than Vols every year except one in the last several years. You said Ole Miss had not beaten anyone notable, so I put Georgia in all caps so it might catch your attention since it didn't when it was typed out normally on their schedule lol. All I said was facts of records, ranked wins, etc. I'm sorry the facts doesn't align with your thought process, but that doesn't mean I have an agenda to "carry water" for other programs lol

I never said they didn’t beat anyone. I said outside of last year’s run, they haven’t beat any one of consequence. Again, can you read? Or are you just choosing to lie. Either way, we are going back and forth on a recruit no one is worried about regarding a team that lost their meal ticket

I read that they beat Georgia in 2024, but I guess we are classifying that as a game of no consequence

Cool, how did they finish the season? Wasn’t that the year they lost to Kentucky at home? Did you read that with your Ole Miss jersey on holding your Lane Kiffin action figure? Who cares?

You're fun lol. Always resorting back to the same thing of trying to make it personal to avoid discussing the points. We lost to Arkansas the same year. The point was both Tenn and OM had the same year, Tenn made the CFP bc Arkansas was slightly less ass than Kentucky. The overarching point was aside from one big year, Ole Miss has been the better program as of late even if you give Heupel the leeway he deserves of having to build from scratch in a terrible situation. The ironic part is that was when he was winning games. You can support one team and admit it has been a worse team than someone else lately lol. If you want to debate the points, you have every right to do that and should stand on the table for what you believe, but you have yet to argue a point beside the fact that we made the CFP once.
