There really needs to be a spotter for each arm when they’re lifting heavy dumbbells. How they’re lifting is dangerous.
Jumpy has been coaching the LVs for many years, to hear him talk. Maybe Jumpy can loan Ferrara one of his thousands of action shots of himself surrounded by our players and coaching in-game from the LV bench. The ones with Pat asking for his advice at a crucial moment, as she often did, you know, might be even better.Of course the first reply to that post on X is our old friend Coach Jumper complaining about the coach's header photo.
A very good friend of mine who is much closer to the basketball program than I am told me people in the administration were so disturbed by Coach Jumper’s actions last season and on into the spring that there has been strong consideration in issuing him a campus ban. Supposedly he would drive up to players and ask them to get in the car with him. Seriously, like a 1980s movie of the week special. I’ve never met the guy, but I’m kind of interested to see that happen to watch the ensuing meltdown he would have.Jumpy has been coaching the LVs for many years, to hear him talk. Maybe he would be happier in the warmer climate of Orlando assisting our former recruiting coordinator with his new efforts.
That’s not true at all of me.Was about to say the same thing. You can always tell who has zero experience training.
Actually having a person spot you on each arm during dumbbell presses is a HORRIBLE idea. If one assists more than the other you have problems that’s why only one spotter is used. That’s not true at all of me.
As someone who tore their rotater cuff lifting free weights, I just believe strongly that it would be infinitely safer if they did. I know very well how highly competitive amateur lifters can be stupid when trying NOT to show weakness in front of teammates.
Just because someone historically hasn’t done something doesn’t mean it wouldn’t be a safer idea.
Out of (IMO) justifiable concern for the health and safety of our beloved Lady Vols, lvocd voiced an opinion. We do a lot of that around here, and sometimes they read with some ambiguity. But, "ignorance?" I don't think that applies here.LOL! Emotional? When your ignorance is exposed pull out the Jr High School insult. That’s some weak sauce. Try again.
