I'll be at the Harriman/Copper Basin game...Go Big Red, payback time

Copper Basin just beat Sunbright 27-6.

Copper Basin is advancing to the 3rd round of the playoffs for the first time in over 20+ years. Wish I could go to the 3rd round game at Coalfield but I have to work :(

I like our chances against the yellow jackets. We beat them last year and we have done nothing but get better since then. Go Big Red, beat Coalfield

Yeah I was checking out their schedule. They barely beat Harriman and Sunbright by one point each. I'm thinking it's going to be a close game but I believe the Cougars will get it done.

I'm hoping Copper Basin takes their A game to Coalfield tonight - I think they can win with a good, solid effort.

Elizabethton (9-4) plays Alcoa (13-0) this weekend. I'm a little surprised they made it to this level. Cyclone Pride! The road ends here for the "Betsy High" Cyclones. Will be pleasantly surprised if they beat an undefeated team and former state Champs.

They got there because of TSSAA not knowing how to make playoff brackets. Alcoa, CAK, Camden, Milan, Goodpasture, Loudon are all better then Elizabethton. Its very possible that Tyner and Howard are too. That's the problem with Northeast TN football. They play nobody up there in their little corner of the state and then when they finally do get to some of the bigger boys, they're not battle tested. This is been a problem for DB for many many years. They run the table on a bunch of nobodies and then run into a William Blount team that has fought against Maryville/Alcoa/Oak Ridge and DB is watching the 3rd round.
