'26 TN Edge Zach Groves (Tennessee)

Just now listening to the 247 recap podcast and RC said Groves is the biggest boom/bust candidate. Said he played bad competition in high school and when he went up against Kamari Blair, KB controlled him. But that he is talented.

To be fair, Kamari Blair is an absolute freak show both athletically and physically.

Not sure there are many high school DL that are getting the better of him other than your super elite guys.

It could just point to how Groves isn't an edge, as much as he wants to be. And how he'd be better served as a 3 technique.

After watching Zach play multiple times the past few years, I believe his hand will be in the dirt at the next level. Super athletic penetrating 3 tech. I think he's gonna be too big in a year or 2 to play LEO maybe SDE.
I think that is the plan. Redshirt him and let him begin to grow into that SDE role.

He’ll be 290 lbs at 6’4 by 2027
