'20 TN DT Omari Thomas (UT SIGNEE)

The four-star Class of 2020 lineman from Briarcrest Christian School in Eads, Tenn., is scheduled to use his first official visit the weekend of Oct. 5 to attend the Vols’ home game against Georgia, and Tennessee still is one of the half-dozen teams he’s considering as he continues to move toward his college decision.

In addition to his scheduled trip to Tennessee, he said he plans to take official visits to Texas A&M the weekend of Oct. 12 for the Aggies’ game against Alabama, to Arkansas for its game against Auburn on Oct. 19, to Alabama for its game against LSU on Nov. 9 and to Auburn for its game Nov. 16 against Georgia.

Tennessee already has hosted him on at least a half-dozen visits, including his latest trip to Knoxville in June. When he returns there next month, there’s not much more he needs to learn about the Vols’ program.

Usually pretty hard for UT to pull one away from Ala. at the private schools. The big trench hogs will usually pick Bama or a Miss. school here in Memphis.

Wonder what impact dismissing Banks has on recruiting Memphis kids, if any.
