Didn't know Tennessee was recruiting Bart Starr's Great, Great, Great. Grandson.

Ran 10.59 in the 100 meter.

Solid speed right there!
Actually got it down to 10.56 for state championship. Not much of a difference and people typically run faster against faster people but best time in biggest race is nice. Was tracked at 22.8 mph in those GPS things in Ravenwood's playoff game.

"It was a good day. Got up here about 11 or 12. Got to spend time with Coach 'Nez all day, do all the fun activities and stuff like that, so got to see a lot, see the stadium — all that," Starr said, referring to Vols defensive backs coach Willie Martinez. "My first time up here, so it was great. Got to meet all the coaches and everything, so pretty good day. …
"They definitely showed a lot of love, just (with) it being my first time up here. I mean, it shocked me, for sure."
"The stadium's huge," said Starr, who's ranked by 247Sports as the No. 31 cornerback in the 2025 class and the No. 9 rising senior from the state of Tennessee. "The facilities are nice. The indoor's nice — everything, really."
"He told me he was serious about me, or else I wouldn't be here," Starr said, recalling his conversations with Martinez. "He really wants me. He wants me to schedule that OV. I'm going to probably get that set up here soon. And he just told me he really wanted me.
"They like my speed, my size — mainly my athletic ability and stuff like that," Starr said. "I'm just an all-around athlete. Just won two state titles in track, so they liked that. They were all over me (Friday) about that."
"I talked to him when I first got here for, like, about 10 minutes, and then just talked to him again before I left," Starr said of Heupel. "Just got to meet him, talk a little bit with him and just conversate a little bit."
Starr said he doesn't plan to wait too long to make his college decision after wrapping up his official visits next month.

"I'll be done by July," he said.

I’m surprised Michigan hasn’t offered this kid, yet.

This kid is a bigger need than Ffrench was at WR.

We desperately need an influx of speed and talent at CB.
- Redmond
- Lewis
- Starr
and 2 MORE.

Why 2 more? Gibson and McCoy will be here multiple years still

I say those 3 and Konanbanny, and call it a day. I'm sure someone in that group will translate better at nickel.

They’ll be juniors by the time those kids get here.

We play 3 deep at all levels of our defense.
We’re still a bit short there at CB. We shouldn’t be moving guys from safety to CB ever again if we can help it
I agree but 5 high school corners in one class seems like a bit much to me personally.

The 2 more could be transfer guys or HS. We just need more quality and quantity somewhat.

When Hadden got hurt you could see the difference in overall lack of production.

Jordan Matthews might not be what we needed him to be, so that gives us like 3 CBs in the past 2 classes.
