'20 TN ATH Reggie Grimes (Oklahoma commit)

The other official visitor the Vols hosted over the weekend, four-star defensive end/linebacker Reggie Grimes of Ravenwood High School in Brentwood, Tenn., was back at Tennessee for the first time in almost nine months. Sources said the visit went well for the Vols and helped them become perhaps a bit more of a factor with him going into the final weeks leading up to his decision. All signs recently have pointed to South Carolina being the team to beat for Grimes, though, and sources said Tennessee still might have more work to do if it wants to beat out the Gamecocks for him. Grimes plans to take an official visit to Florida State, and a trip to Oklahoma also is a strong possibility, while Alabama and Vanderbilt also remain on his radar. The Vols have stayed in the picture with Grimes, whose father, Reggie Grimes Sr., is a former Alabama defensive lineman who was one of Pruitt’s Crimson Tide teammates. But South Carolina recently has been viewed as the favorite to land the younger Grimes, and that still might be the case coming off his visit to Tennessee.

Negative recruiting. Muschamp is big on it
So is TRob but SC’s bad season is fixing to get worse. Already rumors of more decommits and like @SLICKYINC mentioned, it’s year 4 and most of the fans there want him fired. Most of their commits will be fair game come December. I think if UT pushes here even if he commits there for a moment, think he would stay instate.

Pruitt isn’t exactly killing it this season either.

Especially if he only ends up winning 2-3 games.
pruitt is in the middle of year 2 of a massive rebuild, and no one expects us to be great..or even all that good right now. no one really disagrees with this.

Muschamp is in the middle of year 4 and is losing to 2nd tier ACC teams with a new head coach....

this is "the product" under muschamp. and sure, they're better than us right now...but isn't that setting the bar kinda low right now? aren't they supposed to be pushing UF and UGA by now?

and if they lose another game they're not supposed to......................................what then? if not fired this year, it's pretty evident he's on a hot seat now...........

plenty to negative recruit against there.

your reason and logic make sense, but, we arent 18.

no, but the same message, repeated over and over again, eventually it sinks in.

those same 18 year olds are getting those same messages about us...so what's the difference, right?

Muschamp's buyout is double Pruitt's. Pruitt may actually be fired this year despite conventional wisdom. Coach Boom isn't going anywhere unless they can dig up a for cause excuse.
