Memphis kids seem to play with an edge, Ced Wilson/Dan Williams/Eason/TMac/Small/Big O/Eric Gray/Memphis Max Gilbert/Jeremy Banks . Hopefully Rad Jackson, sign me up.

Edit: except Drew Richmond, he was a (()). Must of been the MSU HS all boys culture.
LOL…I was about to mention Richmond as the exception before I got to your edit.

Do you remember Tori Noel? He was a safety out of Melrose HS in Memphis in the mid-90s and he’d knock your head off. He was one of my favorite less-remembered Vols.

Living in Jackson around that time, I got to see Melrose a few times back then.
They were so freakin talented........just so undisciplined.

That’s Coach T for ya, the guy literally had kids from other schools practicing with his team in the spring at Ridgeway High. White House use to give them hell. I never hear about that school anymore.

They had a pretty good year this year. Hired Jamarrion Marrow's dad (I think) to be the coach and Marrow and a Germantown WR followed

In terms of 2027 recruits, the Georgia game is already shaping up to be a pivotal weekend on the recruiting trail for the Vols. A number of top prospects have already started to lock in their plans to be in attendance.

Prized in-state ATH Lawrence Britt tells us he will return to Knoxville for a deeper look at Josh Heupel’s program. He feels like Tennessee has done a nice job of making him a priority, as he has connected with staff members on each side of the football.

What position is he wanting to play? He is a Swiss Army knife and does a little bit of everything. He is similar to every WR commit we have this year. A great athlete and will be top 100 for 27’

“The environment was packed!” Britt said. “It was loud and great! I loved the way the fans were involved in everything! Just being in-state helps a lot but also just the coaches knowing the type of person and player I am!”

“Just the way they would use me!” he stated. “I know Tennessee produces a lot of guys to the league! They stand high for me! The love they give me is the love I give back!”

Idk how hard Tenn is pushing here. Mizzou is the one leading the pack

Not specific for this player but hard for me to see the appeal of Mizzou. I’ve also never been to their campus or city to be fair. But Drink is such a goober.

I can see the appeal of Vandy. Nashville is awesome, especially for a college aged kid with money. And Lea is likable. But not Mizzou.

Probably a good thing neither of us have been to Columbia, Missouri or that stadium. They have a up-and-coming WR coach that has been aggressive on the trail in that circle of influence. Closer to Memphis than UT is. Regardless of them Stoops-ing it, Mizzou wins games and that looks good to players. Got one of the most exciting young receivers in NFL (even if they used him wrong lol). And then obviously everyone has $$ to play with now and programs value each player differently.
