Joel Wyatt remains uncommitted and started at Murfreesboro Oakland earlier this week where he will play for the Patriots. This one feels now like it might go awhile and has slowed down. Tennessee has told him they will give him a shot at safety so we will see what he elects to do.
Webb is in Bell Buckle, near Shelbyville. Oakland High School is in Murfreesboro and is one of the most powerful football programs in the state. Has been for years. Is Oakland not Oakland tn? You can tell I did not grow up in Knox.
Yep, sucks for Webb but he will get a much better development at a school that is starting to produce some really good football players. I’m hoping we try him at Safety and the worse that can happen is he outgrows it and needs to move somewhere else. But he’s talented(another that talented but needs to play better comp which he now will)!Webb is in Bell Buckle, near Shelbyville. This should be good for Wyatt’s development. I wonder where Oakland will play him.
(Sigh)Per VQ
Let’s not forget the potential money he’d be missing out on if he chose Safety over Edge.(Sigh)
These Tennessee kids smh.
This duden is not a safety. Maybe a ROV or BANDIT vie 3-3-5.
Just like Cameron Sparks
Or even Brandon Warren after he was a Freshman all-American at TE for Florida State comes to Tennessee and plays WR. And then did absolutely nothing there.
Even he's bound a determined to play safety then so be it. But he will miss out on crucial early development at EDGE when he ends up moving there because he's buried on the depth chart at safety.
Even if it's just for his early -enrolled spring semester. He will have wasted basically his first year trying to get ready to play safety only for him to try and get his mind right to play EDGE before his freshman season starts
Is he a NPA kid?(Sigh)

There isn’t an Oakland High School in Oakland, TN. There may be an elementary school, but the high school is part of the county system.I assumed he was going to Oakland High School in Murfreesboro and didn’t know there was actually a small town named Oakland near Memphis. As a bonafide ETN hillbilly, I have very limited knowledge of that part of the state.
The Feet were headed into 2025 with 35 players before “six or seven” transferred during the offseason, Gay said. Four-star 2026 prospect Joel Wyatt was among the last to leave when it was announced July 17 that he had enrolled at Oakland. Combined with 10 seniors who graduated this spring, only about half of Webb’s roster remained. The new head master of Webb (a commie from California) just told the players and team she is getting rid of the football team.
Oakland, TN has both an elementary and a middle school; kids who are high school age either have to attend Fayette-Ware, go the private school route or pay extra to attend either Arlington or Collierville High SchoolThere isn’t an Oakland High School in Oakland, TN. People are making this a transfer thing as if the new person in charge didn't ask the head coach to resign (as mentioned later in the article). This isn't an outcome they are disappointed in as @Bellbuckle vol kind of saidThe Feet were headed into 2025 with 35 players before “six or seven” transferred during the offseason, Gay said. Any idea where he could go? Feel like he'd be an attractive offensive guy to have in the room at one of these other boarding schools that has had success with international players like Baylor, McCallie, or Rabun GapThe kids left because she was shutting down the program - the spin about safety from Webb is total BS. Those kids were thrilled to be on the same team with a star like Joel - They knew they would have a chance to be seen by college coaches etc.
This was an ambush. The head coach wasn’t involved in the decision and they fired him the next day by text. And a bunch of kids are scrambling. Webb is a very hard school and I do love the tradition of excellence and character they instill in the kids - if my son were a senior and had work so hard to get through that program to have to leave his last year —- I’d be pissed. And the coach is right - they never gave him support and made him coach with his hand tied behind his back.
Shame on the school administration for waiting until now to be like “oh btw we’re canning our football team”The kids left because she was shutting down the program - the spin about safety from Webb is total BS.
