'26 TN ATH Joel Wyatt

I'm sure Fans were saying the same thing about Javon Freak Kearse from Fla who was long athletic skinny freak who grew up and became All Pro Rush End for Titans. Wyatt has similar build and freak athletic abilities. Now I have no idea what he blossoms into time will tell but this is what coaches see of his potential down the road. In CHRIST Alone
Jevon Kearse was 6’5 227 his freshman year

Yes, thank you. I’m just stating facts
At this moment in time meaningless facts until he is ready to report to his college. Now i have never met the kid so I can't look at his waist to his calves to tell you he can play Rush end no idea. He may have receiver written all over him.

You do realize kid has another year and half before he would come to UT.
He’s not putting on 30 pounds by the time he gets to college. Especially if he’s playing basketball too. This kid is a WR or S/LB hybrid. Playing him on the edge is just preposterous

He doesn’t have to.

He’s not starting as a freshman. Probably not playing at all as a freshman, given the way we’ve recruited that position. He’ll have 2-3 years to get there. My guess is, he’s close to the weight he needs for the position he’s playing by his sophomore year. If they decide that position is Edge, then so be it.

Exactly. We had a 5* EDGE from the 24 class in Ross who was actually big enough to play as a pass rusher and he didnt play this year hardly any meaningful minutes except on Special Teams. Did he get a redshirt? He didn't redshirt like Lindstrom and Gentle on the Dline...but he didnt play much on defense either. He should get to play more this season though with Pearce gone. Hopefully we get this guy on campus and see what he grows into. Go VOLS

Ross was playing a little more to the end of the year, but there was definitely a lull in the mid season after he cost us the Arkansas game running into the kicker. I don't know if he got down on himself, or if the coaches couldn't trust him, or just freshman adjustments.

The notion that any singular player cost us that game is ridiculous. Epic team loss coming out of the bye. We should have won by 3+ touchdowns. Heupel needs to be able to adjust to odd front defenses.

Not sure about you but I put on 20 lbs in my last 3 years of high school without trying hard.

sure. one guy or play doesn't lose a game. but that was definitely when the momentum switched.

Ross is a stud and I look forward to seeing him turned loose this Fall.

Joel is gonna pick up even more attention once he starts playing at Oakland next season!! Get him in the boat quick!!
I was thinking about that possibility to transfer there because of the proximity to bell buckle and let's not kid ourselves the VERY BEST high-school football in Tennessee my Alma Mater Oakland Patriots! But was really wondering if it is a thing or just a thought from you? Be pretty cool if it was.

Halfway through the third quarter. If you can’t get momentum back in a quarter and a half, that’s not on the play that aided the shift to begin with. Also, we didn’t score a point in the first half. You don’t score at all three out of 4 quarters that’s not on one guy and you can’t expect to win games doing that. I get it was a play that put the defense back on the field where they scored, and that definitely impacted the outcome, but it never should have had the chance to. Unfortunate plays happen. Nothing about that games outcome was any singular players fault. The whole thing was a team and coach fail.
