'26 TN S Joel Wyatt (Tennessee commit)

I was going to say, “Who even knew Vandy had fans?” Then, I clicked on the link and got an error message. I knew it!

Edit: the 2nd time I tried it, the link worked. Their site must have temporarily crashed due to having over 3 people visiting the site at a time.
That board just seems to be 2 fans posting back and forth. 🤣

That’s vandymania for you

“As for Wyatt, it might not be all over. In fact, for any of these commits, it mignt not be all over. What happens, for instance, if Vandy improves on its 7-6 season from last year, and Heupel is on the hot seat by November?”
Lol cant wait for it to crash again after Pavia is gone. Hell it might happen this yr with him. Their schedule is nasty.

I don't think you'll have to wait until he's gone to witness the crash. Pavia's mouth has written checks that his azz can't cash. Every DC in the conference will have a plan to neutralize him. He likely won't make it through the season and Vandy will tank.

The finals at the DII Class A Middle Region Meet in May were apparently hand timed, but even these times are highly questionable given that nobody broke 11 seconds in the prelims.

Wyatt's official PR is 10.79, which he ran in the finals at the state meet. He entered the meet seeded 5th.

Yeah the 10.2 stuff is silly. That’s a whole different level of speed like Bey has. Kid is still obviously an athlete by being in the 10.7 range and maybe even more so because of his LJ marks. A friend of mine who is a former SEC position coach and current FCS DC said when he’s looking for DBs seeing them run the 100 fast is one thing but if a DB excels in the long and triple jump then they can be dudes for you.

Honestly don’t really care about his 100 except shows he can run straight without pads on very well. Can he read and get downhill fast and get low enough on an rb at full speed to not take a helmet thru his chest. How is his change of direction and 2-5-10 yard burst. 6’4 225 after some weight gain is intriguing if he’s got the footwork, hips and anticipation.
It’ll work itself out and plenty of time to figure out his position. He may grow more. Ya never know.
