So...I have a flooring stapler I bought at Home Depot about 6 weeks ago. It was about 400$. It broke the other day half way threw laying flooring at a customers house. I took the tool back to home depot. I know the rule is they send them off to have them repaired. I can't be without it so I asked if they could make an exception this time. The employee called for a supervisor who was very pleasant. She looked it over and sent an employee to get a tool to trade it out.
Then from nowhere another manager, Dave, shows up. He didn't introduce himself he just said "I'm sick of these kinda people" under his breath. Then he looks at me and says is this you?. I said "what did you say?". He says slowly "is this you?!?". I said "no Shat azz, what did you say before that?". He then said "all we can do for you is send it off". By now the employee has the new gun. He turns to the supervisor and said "no exchanges, send it off". Then he left.
As he left I said hey! He kept walking.
I let them send it off.
I then went to Lowes next door and bought another gun.

I figured out that I've spent 52k$ at home depot this year so far.
This week I've spent 3k at Lowes that would have gone to home depot before the issue.

My question is, should I email Home Depot or just never go there again?

Oh, and 25,000th post. Woohoo

I think you should punch Gob in the face to vent your anger.

Was this ass-clown wearing a name tag? Did you get his name? If so, call the store back, get the name email, and phone # of the regional manager/v.p., call him/her and forward the OP. I expect you to receive a fawking shopping spree.

I asked the pleasant supervisor girl, Megan, what his name was.
I think I will email them.

No email, you need to talk to someone. Email will just be deleted. You can prob Google what # you need to call. You'll fet much further talking to someone and having them understand your frustration. Wouldnt you rather a client call or Falk face to face? Just my 2 cents.

Call for the GM. If he was the GM, call the district manager. Whatever it takes. Azzhats should be dealt with as such.

I've skipped the GM and call home depot home office and filed a complaint. The DM will be in touch, I am told.

You could get him in trouble for language to a customer but your word against his in that situation. I've Fawked with Lowes, Home Depot, and even Sears on returning tools and lawn and garden equipment. It's store policy to send it off and the managers are supposed to enforce it. The employees rather swap it out. I only go to Lowes these days too. Good luck. Might get something out of it. Never hurts to try.

I have people who handle these sort of things. Look into that as an option for yourself.

In fact, I'd recommend this to all of you fine people.

If the first girl says send it off I would have been fine with it. It was being treated like I was trying to pull a fast one that pissed me off.
