I just hope that's low enough that by the time the vultures split it up, in doesn't come off as profitable for future generations.

Oh, and I hope Anita wasn't too upset when she learned a price tag was the actual goal, not her faux crusade of justice.

Lol.....without paying lawyers, for eight plaintiffs, it comes out to $310,000 each. Since the lawyers get theirs first.....then taxes. May be enough to buy an average house somewhere.

Yea, but 310K for saying "he did this" is a lot of clams.

According to the Tennessean the plaintiffs will receive $180K each, assuming 40% for the attorneys and court fees and stuff.

Sure there is if it's likely to cost more to fight it. Happens all the time

Article said with settlement, just over 4 million has been paid in total. 2.4 mil to plaintiffs and 1.6 mil to lawyers. Yeah. They came out way cheaper by not letting it drag on longer. Their own lawyer fees would have caught up to the settlement soon.

So basically each plaintiff gets enough to pay for their education if that is what they really wanted like they said.

I don't like the precedent that this sets!

What keeps other women from bringing such lawsuits?

This is nothing more than a money grab.

I feel like you just assaulted me and I really didn't like your use of the word "clams". It sounds sexual.

Calling my lawyer now. :)

Will you settle for a box of cheezits?

There is so much about all this Title9 gobeldygook I find creepy(read scary) but I will save that discussion for my friends tonight at the Hookah bar.

So does this mean we are safe now from any further sanctions from the NCAA? That would be awful to settle the lawsuit for $2.48 million & then have additional penalties or sanctions placed on us as a football program or any other athletics.

This. I'm hoping it's a done deal, and it's a closed issue.
