Titans look at Shockey

It must suck to get all of your lifes pleasures by picking fights on Volnation. Btw, the Chiefs are garbage. Oh and yeah I know the Titans suck.

Im mobile right now so I can't see your fav teams. I'm going to assume the chargers.

What have they won? Eli Manning was right. They will never win anything important. Owner is pitiful.

Maybe you are a titans fan since you got a little flustered at my comments. What have they won? How many of their free agent signings work out? You just hired a coach without coordinator experience. The majority of the staff came from the AFL or something.

Look at the Chiefs recent drafts. Pretty solid drafting.

It is ironic, and I need to learn to speak decently, or not at all. It is getting old to me as well. I'm sorry for acting like a horses ***
and it will not happen again. My apologies.

They've won a Super Bowl, which is more than the Oilers/Titans can say.

It was also 42 years ago and add in the fact this was the first division title since 2003 and first playoff appearance since 2006 doesn't really help matters any...

Let me break down our coaching staff for you;

I was against the Munchak hire but he was an All-Pro player, and now a Hall of Famer. He has coached some of the best offensive lines in the game.

Chris Palmer (OC) - Has over 20 years or so of coaching experience. He has also coached in two Super Bowls, with his team winning one of them.

Jerry Gray (DC) has over ten years experience coaching, and was coordinator of the Bills defense when they had back to back top 2 defense in the league. He has coached under Gregg Williams, who is a hell of a DC.

Bruce Matthews (OL) - Hall of Famer, new to coaching though.

Art Valero (Assistant OL) - In college he has over 21 years of coaching offensive lines, and has served nine years as a pro coach.

Jim Skipper (RB) - He has coached running backs from basically 1979 to now. He has coached six Pro Bowl running backs in his career, and has coached eight running backs to 1,000+ yard seasons. He served previously as RBs coach for Carolina with DeAngelo Williams & Jonathan Stewart.

Dave Ragone (WR) - This one has me puzzled, played in the league as a QB. Coached with Chris Palmer in the UFL as a QB coach, will coach WRs for us.

Dave McGinnis (Assistant Coach) - He has over 18 years as a pro coach. Served both as a head coach and as defensive coordinator. Coached as the Chicago Bears LBers coach from 1986-1995.

Tracy Rocker (DL) - New to the pro coaching ranks. Had served as Auburn's defensive line coach.

Frank Bush (LB) - Has coached over 24 years in the league. He coached on back to back Super Bowl champion teams. Served previously as coordinator for the Texans.

Marcus Robertson (DB) - Has four years of pro coaching, all in the secondary. Spent four years in the Front Office prior to becoming a coach. Played 12 years as a player, earning All-Pro honors.

Alan Lowry (ST) - He has over 37 years coaching dating back to 1974. He is considered one of the most experienced STs coaches in the game.

So really do some research prior to make stupid comments like all our staff comes from the UFL. Only two came from that league, with one having tons of NFL experience. Munchak has surrounded himself with a nice mix of older experienced coaches, and younger coaches.

You still didn't address how the Titans free agent signings usually pan out.

Carl Pickens, David Givens, Nate Washington...

Funny you failed to mention the ones that did work; Kevin Mawae, David Thornton, Nick Harper, and Jake Scott.

...Kyle Vanden Bosch, Jason Babin, Chris Hope, Tony Brown, Ahmard Hall, Rob Bironas...

Also, not really sure what you were expecting out of Nate Washington...

I expected him to catch the ball when it hit him in the hands.

It's because they so rarely do.

:lolabove:

I guess you think that Kansas City is one of the best run front offices then? I, and many other Titan fans, have listed a number of successful Titan free agents. Let's face it until just last year you've been a bottom feeder.

First off, just because he was a hall of fame player means nothing. See Mike Singletary.

So Titans fans are supposed to get excited about a bunch of guys that are either past their prime or won't ever have one?

I do not dislike the Titans. The D-Coordinator is a good hire. I like the RB coach. Besides that, nothing would excite me. Especially Palmer.

But hey, if you like it, great.

With the free agents, they have had some good ones. But IMO, they have had way more bad signings. Again JMO.

How this turned into a titans-chiefs argument I'll never know. All I stated was the titans front office is known for many blunders. The owner is senile.

Why you all get your panties in a wad I have no idea.

Heck I like Chris Johnson. Loved McNair. But as an organization, not many are ran worse than the titans.

For the Chiefs haters, hate all you want. But the Hunt family is one of the most respected in the game. They consistently draft SEC players also. The same ones that play in what you all call the best conference in football. So seems pretty smart to me.

Heres the thing, I'm almost certain groves isn't a chiefs fan. He's just giving his opinion from an unbiased view.

For a long time they were not.

However, Scott Pioli is one of the best around.

I'm not a Chiefs fan by any means. I just think it's funny a Memphis Oilers fan wants to talk about a team with a Super Bowl win on its resume.

A Super Bowl victory in '69 isn't relevant in today's NFL and not something to brag about.

Well maybe someone should tell the announcers on tv to quit mentioning sb wins when teams win another one.

For instance, green bay wins one this year, don't tell us how many they have won, its irrelevant according to titans fans.
