According to utsports.com, Cam Clear has played in all three games this year. He has not logged a catch or a tackle (if he's on special teams at all) in any game.

I think Saulsberry, D Young, and Worley are the only freshmen that have not appeared on the participation reports. (excluding Orta and Thomas)

I played high school ball against Antonio while he was still playing for Mt. Pleasant. As a freshman he was a monster biggest guy I ever seen

I certainly hope he and clear can find their way into more playing time. I believe these guys can help our run game with a lil physicality and attitude.

I don't think this roster is in a position to hand out a lot of redshirts. If a Frosh needs to play he'll play thanks to our lack of upper classmen.

I don't think Cam Clear needs to play. He's not going to contribute anything this year.

John Brice was just on the radio saying Tiny has stood out the most this week, him and Jackson will get a lot of looks against Buffalo.

Does this staff not believe in redshirts?
Only have 3 scholarship TE's if I'm remembering correctly and Dooley likes to run 2 TE sets. So, consider Clear a backup. Though the way we are running the ball we may never use another 2TE set all year except on the goal line and 4th and 1.

The roster says Tiny is 6'6'" 325lbs? Unless he is just a terrible blocker, why would you not play him?
I know he is a freshman but jeez, don't see how he could do much worse run blocking than the current starters.
-9 yards for a D1 team in the SEC is an epic fail!

Not saying, just saying.

Tiny and some other Freshmen are on the path Dooley promotes in letting them learn from watching the older guys play without the responsibilities and then letting them play in spot situations to gain experience. DD explained this after yesterday's practice. He also lamented that a lot of Freshmen in the last 2 years did not have that luxury and had to be thrown into the fire. He explained that the TEs and WRs benefitted from that practice last year whereas others (OL) did not. tifwiw.

Tiny had a shoulder injury, and was only cleared about a week or two before the first game. Probably a little behind the curve at first, but I agree to play him now that he's OK. No matter how a player practices, you don't know what he's capable of until he is playing in a real game. So let's see what the big guy can do.
