Just might be...

T-Mobile Offering iPad Air and Retina iPad Mini for $0 Down - Mac Rumors

Like other T-Mobile "UnCarrier" offerings, the tablets will require a monthly hardware fee, which starts at $26.25 per month for the entry level 16 GB iPad Air and $22.08 for the 16 GB iPad mini with Retina Display. At 24 monthly payments of $26.25, the 16 GB cellular iPad Air ends up costing $630, which is ultimately the same price Apple and other carriers sell the iPad for.

T-Mobile plans to provide customers with an entry level data package of 200 MB at no cost....

how many people will go with the basic 200mb package only to die of shock when they get their bill and they've far exceeded that limit?

A mini2 with retina, wifi only and 64gb can be pre-ordered for $600, I don't know how much adding cellular adds to that, but $630 over 24 months doesn't sound like a very good deal.

I think the point is that you are basically financing it for free over two years, and having the cellular capability.

I'm sure they hope to make money on the service. But many will just turn the cell data off and use wi-fi, tethering etc.

Exactly. Always nice to use other people's $$ for free.

It's my understanding that once you hit 200mb on the free plan data quits working. No throttling, overage charges, etc...it just stops working.

Pretty cool of TMo to give anyone with a tablet that works on their network 200mb free.

I'm having an issue with the Ipad 2, jumping between screens

Anyone else have that issue, or know a solution
