uh? ok......really? i have been saying all year that polls don't matter to us...and i still believe that...but at this point, really, how can you not have us in the top ten?

and how on earth can you have Cal ranked ahead of us???? in this case, Brando is an idiot.

That doesn't make any sense.

Cal starts #9, loses to an unranked ,then beats what...#12 oregon? and jumps into 7th...
Arkansas beat #2 auburn when they were unranked...so they jump to the top 10??
UT beat #9 and #10 convincingly, but can't crack the top 10..

No...that makes a lot of sense...I guess that's why I've never heard of this guy.

The love for Cal is getting out of control. You lose early and everyone forgets. If they win out and we win out without a SEC champ. will they surpass us in the BCS polls?

I highly doubt they will surpass us in the BCS polls. If Cal wins out and we win out, assuming OSU and Michigan are undefeated when they play each other, then I have a feeling we could face Cal in the Rose Bowl.

This is a very real possibility, with the love USC gets in the computer polls. If Cal wins out and USC only loses to Cal including beating Notre Dame, this could only help Cal out.

That would be a good rematch and I would imagine that would bring in quite a bit of money as well. It still is a bit early to predict, but I would love to destroy them again.

They avoid rematches when pairing bowl teams. The fact we played this season, and first next season will probably keep the rematch from happening.

I know that they have paired teams like that before. (FSU-Miami), but they really do try to stay away from that.

I would see them taking the OSU-Michigan loser to play in the Rose Bowl to preserve their precious Pac-10 vs Big 10 matchup, and then Tennessee playing either in the Sugar (If Florida makes the title game) against the WV-Louis. winner, or the Orange Bowl against Clemson (the ACC winner).

What about Clemson at #10 - the team that lost to Florida State and had a tough one against Wake Forest??

So you see Clemson beating out The Yellow Jackets? That is a great matchup this weekend. They still need to beat NC state head to head and have another loss for NC state. Not saying it can't happen because I don't know much about the wolfpack, but that loss to BC is hurting them right now.

Clemson plays Temple this weekend. Georgia Tech is idle.

The very notion that polls and human intuition/opnion have ANY, I repeat ANY, affect on college football is the most unbelievably ludicrous proposition I can think of.

Why should I be forced to care what some clarinet player/journalist from Seattle thinks about football?

I see Clemson winning this game but Ga Tech getting them back in the ACC championship.

Ok I just looked at WVU schedule and they just start thier conf. play this weekend. So, can anyone other than the cards give them a run. Rutgers? Syracuse?...

Rutgers, Pitt, and S. Florida all have the talent to upset them. Don't know if they will.
