I will go with CJH. Guessing he is allowing for both starting CBs and both starting DTs out. Compounded by the number of young guys getting needed minutes in games where statistical hay could be made. Does not make continuity easy against ANY teams starters, so stats COULD be a bit skewed. Hate that when we do get guys back they will have rust to knock off. PART OF THE GAME.

I wonder if giving up the runs was the adjustment for the injuries and freshman struggles in the secondary.

That said, the D line was the difference in the outcome. The sacks were brutal.

They had one TD drive that was more than 30 yards. One back breaking TD drive and 2 long drives that we made them settle for 3.

I think MS punted 4 maybe 5 times. Going back to the Georgia game , it seems teams can score on us when they need to.. But also in the Georgia game they stopped 3 or 3 drives inside the 5 yd line, so it's hit or miss. I agree they seem to play better late in a game.

He was good, but not great IMO. Blessed with top shelf talent his entire coaching career. At UT, we had multiple NFL players on defense and still looked unimpressive too often. How do you give up 41 pts in a half with 6 NFL starters against a team running the same two plays the entire half
