I've been looking for tickets for the UT/Florida game. I was wondering if any of you have bought tickets on the street in Gainesville. If you did were they decent seats at a reasonable price? I'm really needing help getting some tickets! Thanks!:good!:

Fuhgedaboutit.

I bid up to $315 for a pair of endzone tix on Ebay. They sold for over $500. Now, if you are willing to be in the UT section -- and I assume you are -- you can get them for about $300 right now on Ebay.

When I went in 2001 3 of us paid $150 total for 3 together in the UT section. The tickets seemed way easy compared to Knoxville.

I went in 2005 and was only looking for a single.

Gainesville 2005 was the HARDEST ticket market I have ever seen (been on several road trips) and I buy tickets off the street all the time. There were very few tickets available and most of the prices were well over $100.

I ended up finally getting a single for $50, but I felt I was fortunate.

I had similar issues at Bama last year as well. 2005 was a tough year at road venues.

My suggestion...be ready to pay $$$ if you are looking for anything besides singles (and even those can be very tough).

Also, consider Florida is coming off of a Nat'l Title and it will be their first big game...tixs will be at a premium. G'luck!

...oh

...and you must be an aggressive buyer off the street in Gainesville. I assume the "cop presence" kept the ticket sellers from showing their hand (illegal in FL). You saw almost NOBODY openly selling tickets. If you don't make it obvious that you are a buyer, you'll suffer.

I have 4 together for sale. They are in Sec. 327, row 27. I am asking $550 for the set of 4. But, I will split them up for $275 a pair or best offer. If interested please email me at budrow014@yahoo.com.

Thanks

Thanks for the info..I really appreciate it. I've been to Gainesville the last 2 road trips and I love it. This year it just seems so much harder to find decent tickets for a "reasonable" price. If anybody has any suggestions keep em coming.....again thanks for the info on the street market!

I believe Florida changed the law on that and has legalized selling for more than face value. But if memory serves, it is still illegal on campus -- so look on university across the strett, i'd say.
