Tickets for Sale or Free

Did they send you 3 separate emails? I’ve gotten separate emails for Saturday and Sunday but nothing for Monday. I just assumed they were waiting to issue Monday if it was necessary.
Yeah just 2. The 3rd email was telling me to download the 1st set then I got another e-mail to download the 2nd set.

Also, it appears Arkansas has rendered our tickets (or at least mine) ineligible to sell on SeatGeek. I was going to sell 2 of my 4 to help finance my trip out there, like I did to Hattiesburg in 2023, and it says these tickets are either “already listed on SeatGeek or are ineligible to list”. Since I haven’t listed them on SeatGeek myself, it has to be the latter.

Odd. I only received one email for Sat. No tickets yet for Sunday.

Interesting. I didn’t try to sell any of mine (other than on here) but did see that someone had tickets listed on SeatGeek in one of our sections for like $2000 each earlier today.

I ain’t gonna lie, I was trying to rape some Hog fans. I’d settle for $400/game for my extra pair. If I can clear $1000 I’d be going for free.

I have a friend on the way to Fayetteville with an extra ticket to all three games. I can't go and another friend of his backed out.

Any interest?

It is in the Tennessee season ticket allotment, (section 114)

I don't want them to go to a broker who is just going to flip them. If you're going already and need an extra seat for friend or family, this will be perfect.

Rant about UT ticket office and the way things are going. 5 years ago I was “booted” from my seats down the RF line (just past 1B) and told I could either relocate to A or E and my tickets would now cost $700/pair instead of the $350/pair I was paying. I ultimately took the forced “upgrade” after arguing about why I was being moved, to no avail. Next year they bump to $1500/pair then $2200/pair the following year and they remain there today. Last Fall, I inquired about relocating somewhere cheaper (my original seats) and was told to renew at my current level and then they’d work with moving me and I’d have a credit on my account since I’m moving to cheaper seats. The move never came.

Fast forward to today, and I had a scheduled call about relocating again and was told it doesn’t look promising again. The reason why, is what pissed me off. Last year they had roughly 250 unsold seats, instead of calling those looking to relocate or folks on the waiting list, they go back to the top of donor rank and give them the opportunity to add additional tickets equivalent to what they already own (i.e. have 4 you can buy up to 4 more). As expected, most of them take advantage of the opportunity, likely only to flip them, and those “leftover” tickets never make it to the general public and/or those looking to relocate, up or down, never get the chance to do so. I asked the gal point blank, I’m basically held hostage in my current seats forever, as long as the fat cats continue to gobble up the extras? She said yes….or I can renew again at current prices/location and hope that someone doesn’t renew in the cheaper seats and that the donors above me, who get first shot, don’t scoop them up when offered first (again I’m held hostage).

They also went away from the extended payment plans (last year was 6 months I believe) and reduced it to 2 months this year, in addition to having to make a renewal decision in the summer instead of Fall as it’s always been. She said leadership wanted to expedite renewals and secure funds sooner this year.

It was a tough decision to make but I told her they’ve got 2 more in the pot for 2026 cause I’m not renewing on those terms. I wasn’t really surprised but there was no attempt to work with me, no sorry to see you go, nothing other than I’ll note that in your file.

I can’t understand the rationale of giving big donors the option of buying extra tickets when there’s a waitlist to get in. If you’re getting $2200 for 2 seats, why can’t you spread those seats out over more fans? Especially given that the ones on the waiting list will actually show up and use them as opposed to eating them if they can’t rape someone on the secondary market for them.

Yeah I don't like where this is going. Would be much better filling the seats with real fans.

The only way to come close to making a profit in baseball is to sell all for as much as they can and keep big guys happy so they give more. I bet they sold yours in 2 minutes and someone was happy to pay it. I also do not care if someone is sitting in that seat as long as it is sold. They make the same amount of money when someone is sitting in it as when it is empty.

I hate that was your experience and if it’s happening to you, it’s likely happened to others. Not working with you is kind of the most disappointing part of the story. I’ve made similar rants myself, so I won’t bore everyone with another.

CTV didn’t simply ask for a new stadium, he asked for a Hornets Nest and I don’t think he meant two or three games a season. Folks hogging tix need to figure that part out.

GBO!!!

Similar to TN Section being filled with Ark fans this weekend. Donors bought tix never planning on attending to simply resell them. Obviously 99% of the buyers were Ark fans. Not cool.

They don’t sell the seats for anymore whether I buy it or “Bill Haslam” buys it. The point is to stop letting the “Haslam’s” buy 8 and let 2 other Joe’s buy 2 apiece on top of his 4. You still sell 8 tickets.

I’m sure your son enjoyed playing in front of filled seats and not sold seats. That’s fine if you don’t care if there’s a butt in the seat, most of us however do care, to see our stadium as full as possible, to enhance the environment. I get that DW doesn’t care as long as the bank account stays topped off and he’ll get that regardless, but it’ll be at the expense of the environment. Trying to turn a profit in a sport where the nations best are profitable 3 out of every 5 years or so, is a dangerous proposition.

Not entirely accurate. UT makes more when the seat is filled. A large portion of fans buy merchandise, or visit the concessions stand. Plus, I can assure you the AD wants a full house which contributes to a better home field advantage and more social media impressions.

I did not say I agreed with it. I just know from experience how they think and how the system works. They are always going to try to keep the big givers happy over those of us who just want a seat. They just care that the seats are sold and they try to sell to the ones who give the most.

Yep. Money drives the decisions...and that's precisely why the students were banished to no man's land. Money notwithstanding that's the worst thing they could have done to the LNS environment. JMO, but this is more their team than ours. It's their college experience and those are their peers out on that field. If the decision were mine, the kids would get the best seats in the house in every sport on campus.

Where the students got stuck should be like a family section and move students back closer to dug out. Wont happen though. They should have made standing room only behind right field too.
