here are my initial bracket observations: 1. It's nice to see, after all these years, the NCAA still has its head firmly embedded in UCLA's collective rectum. Again this year, the Bruins are a 2 seed, but get a regional final site in the Golden State. 2. Texas A&M being forced to play Louisville in Lexington is a travesty. The committee should be ashamed for putting creating TV storylines ahead of rewarding a team for its accomplishments. 3. All 4 number 6 seeds have a good shot of reaching the Sweet 16. In fact, I'll be stunned if at least two of them aren't there. 4. Tennessee will absolutely hammer Long Beach. That game should be one of the 4 or 5 biggest blowouts in the first round. 5. All the chatter among the commentators about how dangerous Arizona is makes me laugh. If they're fortunate enough to get by Purdue, Florida will decimate them. 6. Oral Roberts will have every opportunity to beat Washington State. The Cougars are quite possibly the least talented 3 seed of all time. 7. Maryland had better be focused against Davidson. If they overlook Bob McKillop's club, their tournament stay will be exceptionally short. 8. If Florida doesn't reach the Final Four, they should be ashamed. Their path to Atlanta is as soft as it gets. 9. Memphis versus the Creighton-Nevada winner will be a good one. I'm glad I'll be there. 10. Villanova-Kentucky is a good a first round matchup as you'll see. That should be a great one.

I'd add Virginia being a 4 seed to that list.. There are alot of members from the UVA camp on the selection committee. I don't think it's a surprise we have a probable second round match up with them. They know our inside game isn't one our strengths.. And they don't match up well with bigger athletic teams. Singletary is one of the better guards across the country, but it won't be enough for their hopeful Sweet 16 appearance.

WSU is a very very good team. UCLA is overrated, but WSU can beat anyone. They are very similar to A&M in guard play and defensive intensity. You just don't like the pac-10 in any sport do you hatvol?

He has said several times the Pac 10 is the best conference in Basketball.

Just because Cal football is a fraud, doesn't make someone hate a whole conference.

I have nothing against the PAC 10. I simply don't spend my time trying to convince people that a team that lost to an awful Utah team is a legitimate 3 seed. It's called objectivity. You could use a dose of it on the west coast.

just pointing out that you have 3 pac-10 squads in your overrated section. While I agree Arizona has been mediocre at best all year and UCLA will lose to the first team it plays who has a decent big man, WSU is the real deal. I agree WSU's non conference schedule is a joke, one loss doesn't take away it's accomplishments. these guys defend the 3 better than any team i have seen, and have nice balanced scoring.

I didn't say UCLA is overrated. I said they should have to leave the state of California on their road to the Final Four.

Actually, Washington State this season is very very overrated. Good for sure, but not one of the best 12 teams in the country, Oral Roberts or George Washington will get them.
