I was planning on upgrading to the new premium system anyways. Hopefully the upgraded heatsinks will allow the XBox 360 to be able to actually handle its own games. :ermm:

When there's actually margin on something, yes. Employee discount is 5% over cost. Companies always provide employees with accomodations and such, though. Me and a buddy were recently attempting to get a TV... Panasonic had one such accomodation that would have gotten us a 50" 1080p plasma display for about $900.

If I wanted to get a flat screen to play games on should I get a Plasma or something else. I'm thinking of getting one for my room.

So plasma TV's are the ones that burn the picture into the screen. LCD's are better for gamers, right?

Doesn't really matter. LCD's are typically viewed as better for video games, but technology with Plasmas has caught up to the point where they don't really get hurt that easily. Plus, 90% of the time, they have a far superior image to LCD's. Image burn-in only becomes a serious problem with plasma displays bigger than 50" or so, and that's only with leaving something on for hours. Samsung started employing pixel shift to help reduce it, as well.

To be honest, at work, I've only seen a serious, pronounced case of burnout once, and that was on a 71" LG plasma because somebody left a still DVD menu on for about two hours.

The other thing to consider, especially on large-size TV's, is ghosting. It's a trailing effect that happens on LCD's, because they don't produce an image as fast as it needs to, where as plasmas are always faster. The only large-size LCD out there that can handle consistently high-speed images is a Sony XBR.

My view on using TV's for video games is exactly the same as TV's in general. If you're going up to 40", get an LCD. It can produce high-quality images for an inexpensive price, and a good one can produce colors with the best of them. 42" to 60" get a plasma. Brilliant colors, no real burn-in problems as long as you're responsible. Beyond that, a projection TV, either internal or external.
