JJ was a very good safety in HS. He's ST every since he's been at UT. If he could make the transition to WR from QB, he could make the move to LB also. Not hard getting down hill to bust someone in the mouth. He just wants to play and help the team any way he can. (But he quit tho right?)

That's were he was recruited to play and didn't pan out. Now way he goes back to LB as short as we are at TE right now. Plus, he's out this week.

We’re really not as thin at TE as they let on. We have 2 true freshman TE’s with huge upsides that I’m sure they want to redshirt. Play them I say! Worry about 5 years down the road when we can afford to.

I agree there is little chance JJ plays LB. However he is talented and smart enough to do it at a higher level than one of our current LBs if he chose to do so.

My guess is it's just another bored poster stirring things up.

Yep. Not a fan of all these initials for any and everything. Doesn't take a lot more time and effort to just type out at least one of the names for clarity. I'm learning more of this internet shorthand but names....come on. Throw us older dogs a bone and spell them out.
