Thoughts on Heupel's press conference?

I probably watched every Jeremy Pruitt press conference while he was here but I have only seen a handful of Heupel's and it was early on. I don't know if that illustrates the level of trust I have that we are in good hands or it's just due to the fact that Heupel hardly ever breaks any news. He's definitely a lot duller to listen to but obviously that is irrelevant to winning football games.

I'm just fine with that. I care less about the minutia of the program anyway now for many reasons including I just trust that it's in good hands.

It will be interesting to see who the committee chooses to play in the SEC Championship Game.

If there was a 14 way tie, the SEC would still pick Alabama and Texas. Texas has a ton of money, and Alabama has lined the SEC’s pockets for years. The only thing that might keep Bama out is Smart’s whining.

Yea it's going to drive me crazy when we play UGA. Both of those kids are absolute studs, and I love them like they're my own. I think Gibson will end up being a monster pass rusher in a couple years. He'll probably go 1st round. I think Dinkins is special. That kid is going to make plays. Kirby thinks he is better than the kid who transferred from USC from day 1.

Heupel strikes me as the type of guy who doesn’t like press conferences but goes along with it considering it’s part of the job.

They shouldn’t be taken seriously.

Right. And, it's probably better for him to err on the side of saying too little rather than too much.
