1) no turnovers- how long has it been since Tennessee didn’t turn the ball over multiple times on offense in Gainesville?

2) Jones is a good QB. Maybe not looking over his shoulder last week relaxed him. Is he a Spurrier QB? No but he’s pretty good.

3) Tennessee handled the environment much better than many more experienced talented TN teams in the past. Only some penalties were a mark against them. I recall false start penalties, early snaps, poor communications & inability to change the snap counts along with multiple turnovers being the story of games past when TN had talented teams. Last night was a game about a talent gap. Nothing else.

I think we are getting a lot out of this team considering the depth issues.

The way Mizzou played today we can take that game but have to play a lot cleaner on penalties and botched plays. At least no turnovers today.

Mizzou has gotten trounced on rushing yards allowed against KY and BC.

Hopefully, Cooper, Evans, Simmons and Hooker all get healthy for next Saturday. Evans should be fine he just got beat up today. CJH indicated that Simmons would probably be alright with a bruise to the knee.

I think the Vols did way better than the score indicates. Would be a much closer game if you take out mental errors, bad throws, etc. Maybe too much the effort was focused on trying to prevent turnovers, and penalties/mental errors got sloppy. At times, the Vols offensive plan looked as though it completely exploited Florida's defense.

I did feel like maybe the crowd and adrenaline may have gotten to them a little. Alabama had some bad throws and dropped passes as well. I think this team is making strides tho. Just gotta get healthy.

Other than that great strip from Alontae, Florida played fairly error free. Without looking I would say we had a minus 60 yards to Florida on penalties and self-inflicted wounds.

Could have been worse, what if Florida tried a fake punt when we had only 9 guys lined up for punt return?
