I was watching the press conference. He seemed to know what he was doing. I am for one on the fence about Currie and doing what he needs to do to land the #1 coaching candidate out there. Glad he was not using a search firm.

I think as an AD I hope to goodness he has had a list of names that he is calling when he gets to work tomorrow morning at 8am.

Thoughts on the presser and what you thought about what he said.

Are you confident? Stressed? Excited???

I am feeling hopeful, but in the pit of my stomach I feel they will hire Butch 2.0 (PJ Fleck or Norvell) type guys.

Currie came across to me as a politician. Lots of talking without saying a whole lot. But he deserves the benefit of the doubt.

I think when Grudens name came up, he was acting strange with a smile on his face. Did Gruden say yes yesterday, or last night? 🤔🤔🤔

He is just doing his job. Sounded like what a man in his position would say. I hate this for Coach Jones, the players, etc., but we need to look forward and represent a quality and positive fan base. We are a factor in the next coach wanting to follow Coach Jones.

PJ Fleck uses corny cliches too. I'd just give up if they hired "Row the boat".. After the "Champion of life:.. Yeah that would be a nightmare.

I hate to admit it but I'm tickled this has finally happened. Let's hope JC and Company do what's right and bring in someone that plays and coaches to win.

Go Big Orange!

I really liked the announcement that he will not hire a search firm. That's what he's for. Shouldn't need to hire someone else.

you think he has a killer instinct to go out and get the best candidate no matter what Haslam says. and goes balls to the wall, he seemed a little wimpy, but could be wrong
I don't know, he seemed like he was in full control during the presser. I think he will go after this with a no nonsense approach.

Looks like he has a plan, just waiting to execute. Will be interesting if we get any info from current players about the exit speech and the past few weeks.

Haslam didn't want Jones fired today. If nothing else, he has the balls to fire even when Haslam is against it.

The only thing I'd take from this is that we're not hiring a search firm. Other than that it was canned answers which is what I'd expect.

Did they ask Currie if Chucky has the 'integrity and character' he's seeking?

I listened to the first 10 minutes or so on the radio on my way home and I've never heard someone not answer one single question. Maybe it got better, but man is this guy a double speak politician.

I thought it was alright, much better to listen to than Hart was. Was disappointed that Butch didn't make an appearance.
