First, congrats on your class. Dooley is proving himself out to be a top notch coach. He is someone I can respect and I truly believe he will bring your program back to a very very respectable level. The way he recruited in this short amount of time is amazing and I think he will be a force come next recruiting season. This class fit your needs perfectly.

I am not criticizing Dooley but not sure I get this. I don't know if I would qualify it as amazing. Hunter and Rogers admittedly are large gets, but I don't see the amazing beyond that.

He came in late and maintained most of the recruits and added some more playmakers.

Stone is pretty good, and Dooley won a recruiting battle against Bama to get him...

Stone, Clark, Loften, and Neal don't qualify as pretty good "gets"?

I'm always suspicious of Gators... Always wonder if it is sincere or condescending.

I wonder if you would have been this gracious if you had the 10th rated class and UT was 1st?

8 of them were already in school. It was a good job, I wouldn't go amazing.

C'mon guy... They didn't have to stay. We barely lost anyone and got some 4* guys (Stone, Rogers, Hunter, Lofton) who weren't even think about UT with Kiffin. If you think it was just ok recruiting to do that in 2.5 weeks, then you crazy.

Stone, in state kid, not going "amazing" there.

Neal was a really good get, forgot that one.

Where are the DTs? We are talking about "amazing."

He is and he did. That said, he is an in state kid that probably wanted to come here to begin with.

You are rationalizing too much.

If you want to make that case then you have to accept that all of the out of state kids that were previously committed could have walked.... It cuts both ways.

I said it was good. I forget, it is irrational to call into question or take an honest view of what our football does. As always, whoever he is, he is awesome.

thank you. cdd did an excellent job in basically 2 and a half weeks... the most impressive thing was keeping the class together and then getting rogers and the others he got was amazing... and congrats on the gators class... except when florida plays us i like to see them do well not only for the fact that theu play good football but it is just fun to watch florida because they are well coached and alqays play agood game... gators fans on this board are much nicer to us than the georgia bulldogs fans lol.:good!:

You think cause he's in-state that means something? Why don't we get all the Memphis kids then?

I'd say a 99.9% chance he wasn't coming here if Kiffin had remained. I think taking a good player in a position of need, while recruiting against Nick Saban in three weeks..

That at least borders on amazing

Not saying you can base his entire coaching career on this event, but I'm impressed for now.

You believe it is unrealistic Stone wanted to come here in the first place?

Copeland did walk. So did Ambles. He did a good job, not amazing.

Stone didn't like Kiffin. Neither did Stone's coach. It was Dooley that changed the kid to UT. Period.
