Didn't know where to put this thread...:no:

A family that i have known since a long time ago was in a car wreck over thanksgiving. Hit by a drunk driver (illegal immigrant) who was being chased by the cops. The drunk driver was unharmed and laughing at the scene, but the family members were not as fortunate.

Drew Newell, who was a Junior at App State, was taken to the hospital with what was thought to be a broken leg, and a main part of his heart ruptured which ended up killing him. He has been my role model since i met him through church and baseball in sixth grade, and it kills me to see that happen.
His younger sister, his mother, and father were all rushed to the hospital. His father is in bad/unsure condition at the time.

I hate that this happened, and i can't express how much i am against drunk driving. It makes me furious no matter who it is, but hits close to home with a family i care for so much. I will keep everyone posted as i know more news?

Please keep them and our community in your thoughts and prayers, and know that one of the most awesome people i've ever known was lost. Thank you a ton, guys.:hmm:

sorry to hear! :-( I'm with you though I'm against the drunk driving as well; after interning with the municipal court here while I was in college, I learned that there is a huge amount of dwi, dui, public intox., etc. charges daily. I'm amazed with the amount of people who do it and continue to do it, they say they won't drive while drunk, but when you get drunk you have no control over yourself and what you do, and thats the problem. :no:

We will remember...

That's the way it is most of the time. The drunk driver lives and usually is harmed only slightly if anything while the innocent suffer the most.

thoughts and prayers are with you. that illegal immigrant should be taken out and beaten. hes not legal, so the constitution doesnt apply to him IMO
