Phillip has always stood by wanting to beat Bama more than any other team. Guess he doesn't think we can do it without being Bama junior. I feel like Pedro Martinez when he said tip the cap and call the Yankees my daddy. I guess we are Bammers now and it makes me sick. I severely disappointed in this. It goes without saying we have been made fun of by the whole sports world. I believe this just says we accept our lot in life. We are content putting Bama posters on our walls. I remember when kiffin was here posters of Reggie bush were put up. I don't want to hear about TJ Yeldon or any of those guys. They are disgusting, putrid and it's beyond disturbing to me that now we are giving up on the return to Volunteer pride. I'll be ticked till kickoff about this hire of Pruitt. Forgive me Volnation but I just can't bring myself to blindly liking this.

1. Bama is the best program in the country. He just hired a guy that played at MTSU and has trained and coached at the knee of the greatest living college football coach, perhaps the greatest of all time.

2. By hiring Pruitt and possibly 1-2 other current Alabama coaches, he actually weakens Alabama.

3. In addition to being very familiar with Saban and Bama and the offensive and defensive systems he runs, Pruitt is undoubtedly very familiar with Smart and the systems he runs at Georgia......and he’s very familiar with Dan Mullen’s offense. I would imagine all this can only help Pruitt and our team be successful vs our 3 biggest rivals.

4. I’ll just add....I can’t see how ANY Vol fan can look at this hire and be remotely disappointed. This is a fantastic hire imo as we look at it today, December 7, especially given the absolute ish storm that we’ve endured the last 2-3 weeks with Currie/Haslam/Davenport. Be happy that we have an outstanding young coach coming in to save our currently crumbling program.

So, it's not possible to learn to love a new school? I mean, Bruce Pearl didn't grow up a Tennessee fan, Saban wasn't a Bama fan. Doesn't mean he's not going to do a good job.

Guess that also means we don't need to recruit outside state of Tennessee because there's a big chance they grew up fans of our rivals.

Look I must admit I'm still in overreaction mode. But I still won't be completely sold on this but most overlooked the part where I said I'd be upset till kickoff. That always brings new hope.
