Think about who in the Hell are we going to get to replace him...love him hate him were would TENNESSEE BE? 98 championship I DOUBT IT...........

EXACTLY. In almost ten years after that we haven't done JACK CRAP. So excuse me while I say Fire CHAVIS and demote PHIL. I don't want Fulmer fired so to speak, but if that's what it takes to get Chavis GONE, then GO FOR IT.

I don't think we should fire Fulmer. We are getting a great recruiting class in 2007, and we know that Cutcliffe and Chavis can coach up top-notch talent. I think the winning formula is back - Fulmer recruits, Cutcliffe and Chavis coach. We probably need to shore up some position coaching, but all in all I think the next 3 years are going to be good ones.

How many years does he get to at least win another SEC c-ship? He's had eight. Like it or not, UGA was down this year. Next year the Vols will be back to fighting with SC for 3rd place in the East and that is probably where UT will stay for the foreseeable future unless major changes are made.

I don't care what the circumstances are. Next year is SEC title or bust.

There is a HUGE GAP between where we were in the mid 90's thru 2000 and where we are now. If you want a 9-3 program every year then that's your team. That's not ours my friend. I want a NC. I mean what else is there to play for?? 4th in the SEC???

I'd love to see the team improve and compete for a NC but I'm realistic. Fire the coach and his staff and we are better, yeah right. Maybe your right and maybe your wrong, who knows, I'm discussing issues just like you my friend...thats who I am. Have a nice day.

Fulmers not going anywhere
If he can cut Sanders loose after 19 season's, I say get rid of Roper.

We can't average 100 yards a game rushing, get rid of him..

what good are top 5 recruiting classes when you have a coach that underacheives with them. if you are unable to get 110% out of them then wats the use? tired of hearing about his ability to recruit and winning %. Look at his bowl performance's. we make the SEC look bad against other conf. Penn is the #4 or5 best in the big 10.

Just because Bama is in trouble doesn't mean we will be. We could mess up the first time, then in a few years try again, we will end up getting it right... Better than just giving up and not worrying about it.

I didn't grad from TN, I dont give em any money, I'm just a TN football fan, and I dont have any impact on anything that goes on with TN football and never will. I would like to win a bowl game, I would like to beat more teams at home, I would like to see more trick plays or gutsy plays, I would like to see better tackling and I would like to get back to the NC. I dont see it happening with Fulmer at the helm.

why can't we replace him? florida replaced zook, usc replaced holtz, auburn got new blood, florida got new blood, georgia got richt, uk is on the right track now w/ a newbie, lsu has found successful replacements. why can't tennessee? as has been said many times on this thread, quit living in 1998.

That "trick" play we tried today that we fumbled on worked out real well... Yeah, let's shoot for that.
