Varsity highlights - Thomas Gore highlights - Hudl

Keep an eye on Thomas Gore. He is a multiple sport athlete at Brentwood Academy. He is only a Sophomore and is nearly 6'1" and already 255lbs. Last year, as a Freshman, they played him at Full Back due to his physical ability. He is listed as a NG/G, but has played different positions. Had he not gotten so big so soon, he would be playing running back/linebacker. He also wrestles for BA and track and field (shot put). His work ethic and dedication to sports and school are overly mature for his age.

Hope Derek Barnett can help with his recruitment since he is from BA and I hope the staff gets on him very soon.

Can't let this one leave the State.

Most upside is on defense. Hope he grows a couple of inches. But he has potential on the D-line.

I betting since he's so young he will grow another inch or 2 at a minimum. The kid is strong as an ox and young as a pup. Interior defensive linemen don't have to have the height that you would like in an end. Ends need to be rangy. Tackles need brut force and lower body strength. Many tackles are in the 6'0"-6'2" range, even in the nfl. The Vols currently have one in Picou. Remember Darwin Walker (all time great?).

Whose evaluation is this? Yours? Or have you heard it from somewhere else?

Exactly. Maybe the person that posted that comment just assumed he is a senior in high school. Thomas is less removed from the eighth grade then he is closer to his senior year of high school. The kid is super young and is an absolute hoss.
