Never seen this topic here, so I thought I'd throw it out there. Greatest romantic/love story movies?

1. Before Sunset
2. When Harry met Sally
3. The Quiet Man
4. The Princess Bride

Lord we're hoping it's the actresses or your wife made you watch it against your will... :whistling:

It's no different than having to watch kids' movies against your will...there are still some that you end up actually enjoying (simply not enough out of the whole to go out and watch on your own.)

it's kinda like wearing panties too. you really expect it to be uncomfortable, but some actually end up feeling nice, especially thongs.

Paz Vega? Salma Hayek? Yeah, who'd want to look at them? :whistling:

if the lookers are not naked or funny as all hell, then there is no good excuse for watching a romance / love story.

Every Which Way but Loose comes to mind as a classic love story. Maybe Smokey and the Bandit.

My vote would have to go to Casablanca, one of my favorite classics. What red-blooded American guy wouldn't want a shot at Ingrid Bergman ... blond ... beautiful ... with an air of European sophistication.

I don't know why...I think it was because I have a thing for old people...but The Notebook gets points in my book. Go ahead...blast me.... :)

Of everything listed here so far, I have to admit that I have seen only When Harry Met Sally, and the two classics I listed in Post 16.

Best Alzheimer's love story out there. I will gladly accept the criticism for Before Sunset and When Harry met Sally, however, there is absolutely nothing wrong with The Quiet Man and The Princess Bride being good movies for guys...

A heartwarming tale of a man and his son together on a cross-country journey in "hot pursuit" of justice.
