I really didn't realize how bad the offensive passing is hurting right now. You have:

2 WRs and 3 TEs OUT.

And

4 WRs and 1 TE limited.

Not that any of these players except Young were major contributors, but gosh is the passing game hurting right now so so many injuries. Let's pray North and whomever is throwing the rest of the season stays healthy.

Keep your head up VN, the team doesn't suck just because they suck. There are some real problems here that we can point to that gives us hope (when players are healthy and our top recruiting classes come in and get coached).

Remember how last year people kept saying that Dooley couldn't win because Brian Randolph was out (who, once he was injured, was always described by these folks as our "best defensive player")?

Injuries heal, but excuses are forever.

I haven't heard the first excuse from our team or coaching staff yet. I've heard a lot of discussion among fans about why we are exactly were we thought we would be at this point in the season.:peace2:

People said that?? I couldn't hear for all of the Sal bashing.

And the stupid playcalling at the end of the Mizzu game.

And the loss to Kentucky...

I'm not using excuses its about why our QBs are so bad... because its just an eye opener on how much the receiving group is also hurting the passing game.

Jones doesn't throw his kids under the bus after every loss talking about what a bad football team he has.
He talks about how he is seeing improvement (regardless of what fans think) and his kids are growing up.
Yes ' losing is not an option', but he's building 'swagger' and some of us can see it while others only see failure.

He was and still is our best defensive player. Maybe I missed the point. But losing ur best defensive player who is your safety it can definitely lead to giving up more big plays

And a similar thing happened the year we lost Jason Allen early in the season. The year before he had led the SEC in tackles. Twas a significant blow.

I think this would make more of a glaring difference if this team had a QB who could actually get the ball to them.

Two of the main guys we have been missing are Cory Vereen and Curt Maggitt on defense. I think the WR's healthy are the best we have anyway except Pig was out for a game.
