I think it looks great. Cool throwback but also just actually looks good šŸ¤·šŸ»ā€ā™‚ļø. No i dont want it to be permanent. No it doesnt need to be a once a year thing. But for the anniversary? Pretty cool.

I get honoring Neyland but this seems a bit much. I really wish the Smokey Grey fad was over. I don’t think you can beat Orange & White with the Power T. Go Vols!

I have very deep, very early, very foggy memories of the interlocking UT being on the field (90s baby). This is very cool imo. Like it or not, complaining about it being newfangled bs or something is asinine.
If I recall rightly, Tennessee and Texas agreed to switch between the two of the to use the Interlocking UT, going back forth in use.

The best looking Smokey Gray we had was the original Adidas v UGA when Pig Howard got robbed on the touchdown/touchback. The helmets sucked w it, but had they had matching helmets, they would have been awesome. The little white outline Adidas used looked great IMO. Must wear in day game tho. They disappear at night games.
Pig wasn't robbed. He lost possession of the ball before crossing the goal line.

I love alts uniforms, BUT I also think we should Alabama our Vols uni. Bama has kept their classic basic simplistic unis
with the basic player numbers on the helmet. You see them, you know immediately who is playing, same with our basic orange and white with power T helmet.

I like the new alternate logo, but I'd prefer the '85 interlocking UT. Now that would be awesome

I feel the same way about this as I do about the orange helmets. Absolutely no need.

Of course, that has nothing to do with how terrible our offense is right now. Depressing,

Old school…. As in all the things Neyland had during his tenure? This is pretty much the definition of old school…..a tribute to neyland and many of the colors and designs he used
Neyland wouldn’t have been considered ā€œold schoolā€ when he was coaching. He was very innovative. He was one of the first coaches to utilize film to study his opponents and he was one of the pioneers of communication via the telephone during games. It’s interesting - what we think of as old school now was new and fresh at one point.

Totally agree. I was only referring to Tennessee ā€˜old school’ / original traditions that the OP didn’t understand.
