this week keeps getting better and better.

Heheh...

Fox News...

Propaganda is so funny sometimes; so is all this Republican backbiting. The correspondent looks like he should be giving this story on E! or TMZ. What a self-congratulatory schmuck.

Still not as bad as CNN. I'm a dem but I can't watch that channel. Too many d-bags. At least Fox is entertaining with their bias.

I'm not referring to the baby boomer generation as a good percentage are liberal dems. I'm referring to the older, more racist generation and the fact that the youth of 10 years ago who didn't vote are now voting. The percentage of youths voting has increased along with participation of African-Americans and other minorities who will feel even more a part of the election process in the future. If Obama has a successful presidency then you will have had two Democratic presidents who are considered successes and two Republicans who f'd the economy in the a and were considered weak at best and W might be the worst President in US history. It's not looking good for you.....
If you're saying the only conservative Rs are older racists, end of discussion.

The rest was just pure senseless conjecture.

No, not at all. Most of my family is conservative republican and not racist. My values are mostly conservative. However, a large portion of the conservative majority is aging and the older generation was more racist whether it was passive(as in I'll never vote for a black man) or aggressive. I think it's just the reality of the numbers. The white majority is not as much of a majority as it used to be. Of that white majority, the gap between the percentage of liberals and conservatives is closing. More liberals+more minority vote+more youth vote=bad news for Republicans.

And while the rest may be conjecture, I wouldn't call it senseless as it is the overwhelming majority view of Bush. Reality or not, your average Joe feels that Clinton was successful and the Bush family was not. Public perception decides elections not the reality of the situation. If that public perception is that Obama and a Dem congress turn things around Republicans will have a very hard time. The bar was set so low in the last 8 years that Obama will be hard-pressed to not look like a success.

67 % or better of the Republicans liked Palin (Rasmussen Poll) and think she ought to be back in 2012. Frankly, as a woman, I hope she is. Contrary to what the smears have been on her, it is not true, the facts have been borne out if anyone cares to research it. Those thinkers in the McCain camp who ran his campaign have to find a scapegoat for how they handled it (or mishandled), and she was the perfect choice. They were willing accomplices of the media.

That said, I hope Obama does okay, I don't any reason to think he will, especially given his stupid comments already yesterday, but we will see. I guess I just don't have enough "hope" for the kind of "change" he'll bring.

but you're making braod conclusions based upon two administrations and an election. I assure you the pendulum swings. The next sitting president that watches a similar economic backslide, will see his party escorted from DC in a similar fashion to what the Rs just witnessed.

I agree with you there. It's all contingent on the economy being turned around. Still, the perception of republican incompetence over the last 2 decades is there. It will take either time or mistakes by democrats to change that perception and meanwhile the country is steadily becoming more liberal.

Tuesday night had Oprah, Jesse Jackson, and the free world crying.

I know why Jesse was crying. He was thinking...That young punk up there stole my thunder. That shoud have been me up there. I'd still like to cut his n**ts off.

o.k, here is my time line
Monday: Fulmer resigns
Tuesday: Obama is the new president
Wednsday: No homework
Thursday: 97 on a test
Friday: got 2 tickets in the skybox for TN vs WY

Tuesday and Saturday sucked about as equally bad for me. Actually no, Tuesday blows today out of the water for sucking.

Yes, I did. And I regret it.

I will say this and see what you think.

Growing up in a baptist church, I know abortion is wrong. And I fully disagree with abortion. But, seeing that this is America, everyone has a choice. Whether it is wrong or not, correct? I just see it being kind of silly, to tell a woman they can't do what they want to with their body, but then I could get arrested if I pray at school or work.

I see abortion as murder. I just had a baby girl about a week ago, and I couldn't imagine murder of such a beautiful gift from God. But, just like everything else in the world, you should have a choice what you do to yourself

EDIT:

Another argument would be

- It's not okay to commit abortion, it's against the Bible and word of God. I agree
- I'm not a allowed to pray in public because it's offensive to the non-believers and other religions. Also, at certain jobs sights, there are rooms for Muslims to pray when they have to. They can stop working and go pray. WTH?
- They want to take Christ out of Christmas, because it's offensive. I'm offended!

So to me, it all kind of contradicts itself
I guess the babies DON'T GET A CHOICE, right? The same morons who want to kill off unborn children who are totally innocent, are the ones standing vigil at a prison fence weeping over the upcoming execution of some horrible piece of human garbage that has forfeited the right to life. Classic! Absent the capacity for rational thought!

And another thing... when I was in school, the WORST offense was chewing gum in class, smoking in the bathroom, or sneaking off for a burger during lunch; now God is outlawed in school. HOW ARE WE DOING?

Eventually those delusioned liberal college kids will join the real world and realize that somewhere along the way they have started thinking like a Republican and the cycle will reverse. Regardless, I will hold to the belief that GOD is not dead nor does he sleep so he wasn't taken by surprise Tuesday and he has a plan that I don't see.

How tough was it walking four miles uphill to school in the snow every day, grandpa?
