OK this is the most ridiculous post in this entire thread of ridiculousness. What on earth has convinced you that we will not only beat a Florida team with a QB, but throttle them?

I recognize that with Butch Jones' offensive scheme in place it will never happen, and I am willing to accept that so long as the scheme helps us win football games. I can't help but think, though, how many yard Jalen Hurd could rack up if he was running behind a fullback every once in a while. Hurd's size and physicality coupled with a strong push from the interior line and a skilled lead blocker could really make our running game tough to stop. Different philosophies, I know, but I guess that at heart, I'm still a Phil Fulmer, I-formation kind of guy. :twocents:

You can use the fullback in a spread O, and with great effect. You just need to look at VT's first Q to see that. Butch doesn't like them because his philosophy isn't about physicality, it's about smoke and mirrors. Except there's no smoke.

Saying this is the "best thing that could have happened to us" is the biggest pile of bullsh## I've ever heard. So I guess that means if we had won 49-7, you would have gotten on here and said "OH NO!!! We blew them out; what we really needed was a badly played OT win. This blowout win is TERRIBLE!!"

Yeah right, if we had won by 20+ like we should have, you'd started a thread crowing about awesome we were and how you had zero concerns and blah blah blah blah.

Like I said, spin city baby.

It's called taking adversity and turning into a positive...fuel for the road ahead..it is what winners do.

Losers take a win..and do nothing but complain because such and such didn't have a perfect game..and sit back and wait for the sky to fall..beating themselves before another team even has the chance to do so.

This is why every kid should have to play sports, so they understand how these things work..

Instead of becoming a Monday morning QB..laying on a couch..thinking they have any clue what they are talking about.
