Big time adversity. Somehow escaped with a W even though all our best players played bad. Especially Dobbs.

This team still has all the talent in the world. We just need to calm down. I think the guys got tight after trying so hard early in the game to make wow plays.

I have zero concern moving forward. We'll be fine.

You're ridiculous dude, you have absolutely ZERO credibility. I do agree it was the best thing to happen to us and brought us back down to earth. However, never EVER make a prediction on here again.

I sure do hope so, but if I am being honest, this team is nowhere near living up to the hype. IMO, there is quite a bit to worry about on both sides of the ball and on the coaching staff.

Zero concern? Seriously?

And that right there is why no one takes your alleged film study skills seriously.

Lol spin city baby.

Its week 1 and we're 1-0.

You can jump off the bandwagon. I'm firmly sitting in the front seat.

We gotta clean a lot of things up but this was a character building game.

Last year we woulda folded like we did against Oklahoma and Florida. This year we grinded and won on a night we brought our F game.

The best thing we could of done was go out there and put the game away by half so our other players get reps.

I can see where some good could come from this though. We will see

We're still gonna win the natty.

Tonight proved it since we got all the lucky bounces championship teams usually get.

I have ZERO DOUBT in team 120.

We played our F game against a decent team and still won.

This was GOOD for this team. It taught them the season won't be easy. It taught them to not take anyone for granted. And to have some humility.

A wins a win. Especially when you play like sh#t.

Saying this is the "best thing that could have happened to us" is the biggest pile of bullsh## I've ever heard. So I guess that means if we had won 49-7, you would have gotten on here and said "OH NO!!! We blew them out; what we really needed was a badly played OT win. This blowout win is TERRIBLE!!"

Yeah right, if we had won by 20+ like we should have, you'd started a thread crowing about awesome we were and how you had zero concerns and blah blah blah blah.

Like I said, spin city baby.

If we win anything and let alone the natty it will be in spite of Dobbs and not because of him. So you should change your name to something else asap cause that Heisman dream of yours is over and done with after this 'performance'.

We lost close games last year. Winning a close game like this when you play as bad as we did is good.

It teaches the guys we can make the clutch plays even if we play like crap for 99% of the game.

Nice spin, but sorry...Dobbs is terrible, and has not improved one iota from last year. He's even holding the ball longer now and I didn't expect to see that, plus he still can't throw.

Imagine if what happened tonight in the first half happened against Florida if we had 3 easy blowout wins to start the season?

I'm not sure we could've survived this sort of adversity against a team like Florida. We would've folded.

This win will give the guys the sort of grit we need to beat the likes of Florida and Georgia.

If we had 3 blowout wins before Florida, you would proclaim that there's no way we'd lose to Florida.

Do you understand what "spin" is?

The issue isn't whether we can (or will) learn from this game. The issue is that if you watched this game and had ZERO concern about our performance, you're either a moron or a liar.

One game.

I'll admit he played TERRIBLE. But there is a lot of season left.

Even Deshaun Watson had a bad game last year.

This is not the "best thing to happen to us," but that's the only positive you can take from this besides escaping with a win.
Derailing the hype-train is an overall good, IMO, but the performance of the offense in this game was atrocious, no matter what spin you try to put on it. If Appy St.'s front seven can beat us that badly, what does that bode for 'Bama, or SEC play in general? No debate--we laid a giant turd on the field today, and without a freshman Sunbelt kicker missing TWO easy kicks, this would've been a devastating game.
The only good that can come from this is that 120 truly stops buying into the hype that's surrounded them since the Northwestern win. But if we can't count on the passing game to give us a lift over Appy St., that doesn't bode well for SEC play.

Winning a close game against app state may mean we won't even be in close games against the SEC though.
