Typically these kids will play their heart out in the first game for a first year head coach. These guys came out completely flat, slow, and very little emotion. The O line missed way to many easy assignments throughout the game. The DBs looked pitiful. This team did not look well coached in any way shape or form. I expected a loss but expected a competitive game which this game was not even close to a competitive game. I just cannot believe how unprepared this team was. Pruitt has used his "mulligan". Get this team prepared for the 4th week.

This is laughable. Your thread posting abilities should be removed.

You thinking interim coach for the rest of the year or beat the coaching search rush this time and get one by November?

Honestly it seemed to me that they were too emotional and then the first 4 drives happened, and by the time we got back in it, the delay happened, and we just got deflated.

Where do you people even come from. Watch the film and watch the Jeremy Pruitt show. He can’t go make plays for them.

Somebody saw a different game than I did. We were better coached than in years past, the DB's were out of position but were most were young playing against an elite QB and receivers, the OLIne got better and better as the game went on and, after the first couple of disastrous drives, were more physical that WVU defensive line. We have potential to run and throw the football and we will get better on the back end on defense. The team was prepared, they just weren't ready for a WVU to open the season and probably will struggle against most of the schedule because most people overestimate the talent on this team because of the rankings during the previous tenure. There are some talented youngsters on this team who got their first taste of big boy football for the first time – this wasn't Eastern Illinois or Austin Peay!

No, as evidenced by last years play THESE kids do NOT typically play their heart out. Hopefully, Pruitt is changing that - and by what we saw Saturday, he is at least making progress on the heart part - the talent and technique are still in the air.

Everyone - All across the board expected this game to be competitive. It was clearly not a competitive game. In my opinion, this game falls squarely on the shoulders of Pruitt. Granted its one game, in a long season, but a bad omen. WV an elite team??? Oh how we have fallen. LOL

I predicted months ago that after a few unavoidable losses this season, that our coach would begin to be called Bama Jeremy. I had no idea that such idiocy could manifest literally after one game we were picked to lose easily. What world do these people live in?

Pruitt may not be the guy. But, you might want to slow your roll a bit. This was always going to be a long year no matter who we hired.
