Sucks to lose a game where you take away half of the turnovers and it's a rout, but I truly believe that this team is still putting it all together. Is this the week we play a perfect game? A win over Bama and an easier 2nd half of the schedule could put us in very good position to win the SECCG if we can get the pieces put together. #GoVols !

Just about the best cliché you're likely to hear. But I agree we can still get to Atlanta.

Well, it is halfway through the season...it's about time they get it going.

You're correct, though, take away the TO's and it's a rout.

No kidding. 6 games in and we aren't in "stride" yet? What are they waiting for? The UK game? Bowl game maybe?

It's halfway through the season, and the team is still fumbling and getting pointless penalties. This is what they are....gonna be hard to change that now.

Call me crazy but this team has been playing up tight football, I truly believe that this loss will allow them to relax a little bit and play 4 quarters.

Might be waiting to get some key starters back?

At the beginning of the year if someone said that we would lose Cam Sutton, JRM, and DKjr, but we would still be a 5-1 team that took TAMU on the road to 2OT's would you believe it? Oh, and without Hurd as well. I wouldn't have.

Last year the second half of the UGA game was when they started playing team ball. And the TSIO game was when they looked to be world class. So really, late Game 6 and into Game 7 was when the lights came on.

Provided there was a bye week in between UGA and Bama last year, but it does make one wonder if history will repeat itself this year. .

I believe 120 will show up Saturday and show the world their true colors and nature. We dont only win, we win big is my prediction. There's not a team in the USA that can beat Tennessee other than Tennessee and 120 knows it and I think they will do something about it come this 3rd Saturday in October.

I'll go a step further and even give them back their turnovers and let them keep a few they forced. I just want the bad snaps and the no-call targeting one on Berry back. Still would have been a rout.

Honestly we just need to get through Bama and into our bye and get healthy. We also need UF to lose.

I think you might be right on the money. That would definitely explain some of the drops on offense. It seems to be a lot of mental errors. I think this team is going to light it up for the second half of the season. I'm really proud of how they keep fighting.

Well...JRM isn't coming back. Sutton may return late in the year. Even worse....the injuries keep piling up. We aren't getting healthier, we are getting more beaten up as the season goes along. While we will get Kirkland back, I think I'd sit him for Bama. He's not going to come off an injury like that and just pop into the line up game ready. Doubt he'd make enough of an impact regardless. We need to get rested and healthy for the stretch after Bama. That will determine the east.

I agree wish after UGA & UF we either had a bye or played Tennessee Tech. I think we will just keep getting better and there will be some Northwestern type of beatdowns.

Disagree. Tight teams fold when they get down by a couple of scores, especially on the road. If anything they might be playing a little too relaxed. How else do you explain getting down early over and over again? But they don't panic or play tight, they just go back and execute after halftime. Tight teams don't do that, they fold from the pressure.

we haven't had a completely healthy team since the kickoff of the first game...major hits to the defense and we're still 5-1...just unbelievable how this team has fought through more injuries than any other team in the nation...check the stats...:)

GO VOLS!

Playing tight, nervous, trying to hard, getting used to playing with different players because of injuries in games not practice?

I don't know, but I disagree with them being too relaxed.

Again, if they were playing tight they would fold after getting down by a couple of scores. Don't think that's the problem. Jmo

Targeting.. This sh-- is going on all over college football. Replays are replayed over and over and calls are still a mystery. It does seem that the liberal, politically correct calls are being made. But sometime a little "home cooking" does seem to creep in. Just a tired old problem "what do these officials see that replay shows to be something else" and this problem is not just on targeting calls. Bye the way, this B'ham thing does not help, just places another layer of confusion and wasted time on things. For me, it is "God on High who knows all" but when does a call cost the SEC money, ect. Then what does "God on high" do???

It's not mandatory to fold after being down a couple of scores if you're playing too tight.

After losing to Miss. Two years in a row, you think Bama went in this year's game too relaxed?
