Im going to give you some reasons we keep Dooley. We are a young team that next year we wont be young, so that means we will be able to compete with pretty much everyone. If we fire Dooley all of our recruits will de commit and we will be yet again set back a couple of years to "rebuild".Dont fire Dooley, give him atleast 1 more year because I can promise you that this next year will be special. Look at whats coming in and back, Ten out of eleven starters on offense, nine out of eleven starters on defense. We will be the most experienced team. Now look who will replace the ones that left, for MLB the number 1 MLB in America Dalton Santos will take that position and we have a ton of talent on both sides of the ball.Vol fans I know it was a very bad season but next year im predicting we take the east because we get alot of out hard games at home and Florida will be down again so we have a good chance. Get excited about recruiting this off season and get excited for next August! GO VOLS!

The truth is this argument could go on for 100 years and we will never know.... because even if we don't like ir Dooley will get next year

What he does with the 2012 season will determine his future as the coach of University of Tennessee Football

More screwed up? We just lost to a historically awful KY squad and our lone SEC win was over hapless Vandy.

Sets up big games against both teams next year. We will be seeking revenge against KY. We have the MCB to play for.

Does this not satisfy?

The man actually said yesterday was a 'needed loss'

A 26 year streak ending was a 'needed loss'

Cut bait and move the hell on.

The funny thing is that you said practically the same thing about this season earlier in the year. There is absolutely nothing to be optimistic about after that debacle we all saw yesterday. It literally made me sick to see Tennessee lose to a team of that caliber. It was simply pathetic.

I dont know how ANYONE can sit here and think a Loss to that Kentucky team is acceptable.

Kentucky is as bad as the worst BCS conference Team in America (Indiana, Kansas, etc) ...

We Lost to that team.

Nothing can be mroe screwed up than this.

With a Bowl game on the line too.

How is this acceptable?

I said it before, I'm not campaigning for Dooley to be fired but if he is Fired, there is no one in their right mind who could find fault in the decision.

Wow, you mean we get all the linemen that couldn't handle a weak and depleted Kentucky that was the laughing stock of the SEC. Boy am I excited. Now Kentucky isn't the laughing stock anymore, we are. We should play Ole Miss and finally learn who is the absolutely worst in the league.

Honestly, it can't get worse. That's the sad part of the whole thing. Only thing that could be worse would've been losing to Candy last week and joining Ole Miss in having a winless season in SEC play.

We just finished in last place in an Eastern division that is as bad as I have seen. We have no running game and no top back on campus. There is a huge opportunity to land a top back because of this and yet we can't do it. Exactly how much worse will it get? Also, we don't have a certain replacement for Bray as of now. So what the f is Dooley doing?

Look at whats coming back and look at whats coming in and look at our schedule, do some research.

I know what's coming back and coming in. If we fire him and make a good hire not only will we keep all that we have coming back and most if not all that's coming in this class we very well may pick up more.
Hell, losing to KY may cause some of our commits to switch. If you weren't so blind you'd see how poorly coached we look to EVERYONE across the nation.

You're wasting your breath trying to reason with these Dool-aid drinkers. I think we'll start seeing these recruiting 'commitments' wavering left and right the next few months.

If they were to fire Dooley our recruiting would go to crap. We would be four years from competing for the SEC east again. Starting over. Makes no sence. Don't people get that Fulmer lost to Vandy , and Wyoming. I been behind Dooley since he was hired. But he is going to have to make some coaching changes. And another thing, he wants positive comming out of the team. Then stop telling every reporter you see we are not a good football team right now. I hate when he does that. Now he has been Mr Nice guy for a few years. It's time to go Saban on them. Get in someone's face when they keep messing up. I think we need a new O-line coach, a DBs coach, someone who knows how to work with the special teams and with punters and kickers.

I don't see how ending the season on that note can help us retain the commits we already had. Chit is about to hit the fan. It's just the calm before the storm because it's a holiday weekend.

I honestly feel there is only about a 50% chance Dooley stays, because of yesterdays events. Losing to Kentucky or Vandy should be an automatic qualifier for dismissal for any UT HC. And I say that only half-jokingly.
