The message I picked up this morning that seemed to hit home when comparing to this forum:

There are those that look for the positive in most things and those who look for the negative in most everything.
That pretty well describes this board.
For the life of me I cannot understand those who will find the negative about everything that happens with UT sports.
Not just football but basketball, baseball, etc etc.
Why do you torture yourself? Find something that gives you pleasure and give up UT sports for awhile?
Not necessarily a criticism , just a suggestion.

Wow....another new, and fresh perspective we haven’t heard before.

Don’t tell me how to think or what to do.

Why do you say its tourture? People look at things differently. Ive learned that it is good to have all perspectives. Ive never seen so much complaining about people that dont think they way people want them to think. We already have 4 threads today and will have another 10-15 this week. Imagine how boring this board would be if everyone posted the same opinion. To me it's weird to continually come to a message board just to complain about what you find, especially when you know you beforehand what you are going to see..

Yea, because you've never "preached" to everyone about setting ourselves up for disappointment and we shouldn't do that to ourselves. You didn't start a thread about it either. Right?
Telling people they will be disappointed in their 9-3 assessments and telling people how the should think are entirely different things, and you know it.

But your weird obsession with my posts and your never ending self-righteousness towards those who don’t swallow the **** show of a football program is beyond pathetic.

So you start a thread to cry about other people crying?

Oh grow up. I respond to everyone, not just you. I responded to 3 different people in this one thread. You don't want me to respond to you ignore me or report me.

And I don't give a chit what you swallow, this has nothing to do with how you feel about the football program. Op said nothing about what your post said. "And you know it". Sound like the child you are.

Pointing out all the negatives on the board is bad mkay. God won't like that.

The truth lies somewhere in the middle. The team fought, most of the offensive playcalling was good in the first half, our talent is closer to the elite than what most think, and BM had his moments. Depth is a concern but that was a known issue.

The downside is obvious as well. We cant continue to get run off the field the first possession of each half and at the end of halves. We've been outscored by 69 in the 4 FBS games we've played. 66 of those points are first possession of each half and the end of each half...

And yet you can take your own advice? You seem to be focused on the "negative" people and making it your mission to tell them how they should be, yet the simple solution for you is to ignore them. Or in your own words "find something that gives you pleasure" instead of worrying about what other people post and say.

If you are negative about a negative, does that make a positive.

In turn being positive about a negative is a negative, correct?

I would prefer to get back to being positive about a positive. But until that happens I cannot or will not be positive about a negative.

I hope y’all follow me on this. 😁

I laughed.

Question for the OP: Was "Find something that gives you pleasure" part of the sermon, too?

Some folks are miserable and want everyone else to be miserable with them. 😁 Patience is still a good quality. And also, life doesn't revolve around any one person as many think it does around them. That's revealing how selfish and self centered some folks are. 😁 If they were standing in Mr. Pruitt's shoes, they would want a United fan base and time to get the job done! It's good enough for them, but not anyone else!!!
PS. That was meant to be a little critical...😁

Good point on the end of the halves. I think this goes back to last year too. Pruitt just can't seem to have these guys dialed in coming our of the tunnel.

Thank you for stating the facts, there is something amiss-we know when, how, but no one will I.D. the why- enough to fix it.

Yeah. But if you try to be realistic and ID the why in this group then you're accused of being a quitter and the suggestion will be made to turn in your Vol card.
