I live in VA and had MJUTVOL on my license plate (MJ being my initials). Every1 though i was calling myself beautiful. I hate ACC country.
Anyway; to get a UT plate in VA you have to submit an approved drawing and a petition from 500 that say they will get it the day it's available. Then the state will make them. I had a relative that did that to memorialize the USS Cole

So, let me get this straight, It is cool when UT fans in other states have UT plates, but we HATE that Tennessee allows plates from other schools. Got it.

Maybe the drivers are not sports fans at all and merely celebrate the instutition. Then do we hate it?

Loving the Vols doesn't mean we have to hate everyone else for their loyalties. Some of us need to re-draw the lines because we are not at war on the grid iron. :crazy:

I used to think it was lame that the state of TN sold other school's plates, but then I moved to GA.

I realized quickly that it is a good thing....

Not to mention that while I lived there UT didn't have a plate available in GA.

You could get a UGA, UF, Bama, or Clemson one, but NOT a UT one.

I know they have them there now, but that always pissed me off a bit.

Yeah it ticks me off you can't get UT plates in VA. My dad had gone down to the DMV and you have to have a certain number of signatures to have it added as an option. Considering it's an adjoining state, I can't figure out why VA hasn't gotten enough people to commit.

I just hate that some of the other schools plates look better than the UT plates look.
