You will wake up and find out the University has settled with Beldar for 3-4 mil. No one wants the events of these days litigated, least of all the University.

Kevin Steele:

"To be real frank with you, I could write a book now about nothing more than those 18 days. So much so that if I did choose to write a book, it would be a Netflix series," Steele told CBS Sports.

it will be more than that.. will top 8 million... you are so correct. UT does not want this in a court room or even at a deposition phase..

What did you read in that article that has thoroughly convinced you that UT was wrong to fire Pruitt 'with cause', prior to the details of the investigation being made public?

Here is a surefire way, to not get fired for compliance violations. DO NOT OPERATE OUTSIDE OF COMPLIANCE. DO NOT ALLOW YOUR STAFF TO OPERATE OUTSIDE OF COMPLIANCE. The fault is ALL ON JEREMY PRUITT.
If you do not operate outside of compliance you will get players transferring in the portal, recruits getting out of their NLI, and recruiting players at the Sunbelt Conference level. Those that think the Vols are at rock bottom now are about to be surprised.

I will not be surprised. If everyone else is allowed to "Cheat", and we are held to a different standard, then we will suck.

We will quietly settle, we don’t want this in court. They would subpoena emails from everyone at the university, phone records, private emails, text messages, interviewing people under oath.

We will settle, enough to keep him quiet, and some booster will up the money for it.

... until he isn't.

Then, as Louis L'amour would say, he'd be "shot to doll rags."
The very worst thing that could ever happen to Saban is he would be forced to retire as the greatest coach ever a couple years earlier than he might like. His legacy is secure. Bulletproof.

Agree, but the settlement will probably come out of the university's pocket.

You type that as if Pruitt has nothing to lose by filing suit.

If UT had any intention of settling with Pruitt, they'd have negotiated a buyout prior firing him, instead of firing him with cause, and then having to backtrack.

A veritable statue!

... with feet of clay.

Joe Pa was never even close to Saban's stature.
We were talking about extra benefits to players, not child rape.
I get that.

And actually he very much was untouchable for a long time if you followed the case.

So NO. Nobody is untouchable.

Do that and you’ll be fired for losing anyways

You are implying that UT would not do something that made no damn sense, which for the past 11 years they have excelled at mismanaging the athletic dept at every turn. What makes Pruitts situation different ?
