This Is Why I'm So Confident.....

I have read many reports that talk about how thin floridas depth is. Regardless of curse, starters or anything else, this is why we should win at home. Even if AR plays his best, we should be able to pull away late. This really shouldn’t be a contest regardless

This is team has a different feel to them though. I think that they wouldn’t care to play against flaming demons with the devil as the Coach. I think this team almost compares to the 98 team.
I love our team … very happy with the progressions since CJH came in. But I keep hearing about the comparison to 98 and I don’t get that … ? In 98 we weren’t supposed to be as good as the previous year - this year we’re supposed to be BETTER than last year … By 98, this team had been building for success … and only 1 year ago we were totally depleted …

I will agree the excitement is here. And I am ALWAYS hopeful we pull a few upsets and win it all.

They were horrible the one year under Muschamp and still beat us like 10-9 or whatever that garbage was.

They will play us harder than any team thus far. Believe that. The only question for UT is do our players step up or on their own toes. Having Tillman for confidence sure would be nice.

Tennesse Vol Fans - cool your heels and face reality! UF beat a top 10 team, a close loss to a top 10 team! Yes against USF they looked bad but we wiped out two nobodies - our only real game was OT win against a 2nd team QB.
We can win this game, but they are a damn good team! We need to be realistic. We could play really well and they could play really well and we might still be a play or two short. Either we win big and I am stunned or it should be a close game with two pretty good teams in reality. Not Georgia good but top 20 good. This program was nearly completely apart a year and half ago. Hooker and his friends and Heupel have brought us so far against the odds. I am just not buying the favored by 10-1/2 line and we should just hope to win between two good teams and not overreact either win or lose. We could lose here and still upset an Alabama or lose to Ky. Its a long season! Enjoy we are in this position and be thankful. Just don’t throw the guys under the bus if we lose to a pretty good team this week or make them to be nat champs either if we win. Just my opinion and its worth what you paid for it! 😆

USF's offensive line looks pretty good here. I would argue they look better than UT's, much bigger and stronger at least. UT is going to play their game offensively, reading the numbers. Florida will have the best secondary Hooker has faced so far this season. The keys are going to be turnovers, field position, and penalties, IMO.

I'm as confident as I have ever been, but as I've said before, Tennessee needs to beat Florida before I will believe that Tennessee can beat Florida. UT has lost to some really bad UF teams.

Their linebackers don’t look good either.

Looking over at Swamp Gas in their “predict the score” as of now 12 picked the gators and I think 18 had the Vols………they know the deal.

Review last season please. UF handled us easily and we couldn't even cover the spread. Then go to end of their season where the wheels had fallen off.

How often does UF look bad before the UT game and then puts a whoopin' on us?? More often than not unfortunately. Richardson will come in and look like the Heisman front runner against us. If the game is close and we haven't blown them out and they're within one score of winning, we're doomed ... again. I'll not be surprised by anything or any way this game goes.
You will be plesently surprised come Saturday Hoss.

Look no further than Texas A&M. Two weeks ago, lose to App State and just last week beat the Hurricanes.

That Miami team went 7-5 last season and Texas A&M has one of the most talented rosters in the nation. It was only a matter of time before they figured it out.

A close loss to a top 10 team? I assume you mean Kentucky but they weren’t a top 10 team when they played and both of those games were at Florida.

Umm USF lost to BYU by 30 and beat Howard by 20.

So? BYU beat #9 Baylor and lost to #25 Oregon. Not sure what your point is or what the condescending "umm" is all about.

I commented about their offensive line based on the clips the OP posted, and I stand by my post. OP is right, they man handled UF's defensive line. I'm not so confident that UT's offensive line can do the same. UT ranks 56th in team rushing, behind USF, Vandy, and Missouri.
