We are 3-0 but the bandwagon is no longer intact. The media has finally taken their pitchforks and moved on to different teams. Our team is injury-ridden and we have opportunities to see the quality of our depth and the leadership. We (more importantly the staff) knew before the season started that this season hinges on the UF game. It won't be pretty but it's time to get behind this team. If this team is going to live up to its potential this week will see players step up and take ownership of the performance of the team. This staff has to have spent time in the offseason preparing for this very game. Will we see homerun plays akin to the reverse pass from last season against UF? Will Kamara throw it again? Will we actually design QB rollouts with Dobbs to counter the UF D-line?

Buckle in and enjoy this week. Our team has a golden opportunity to do something special.

Sutton and JRM may not be on the field but you can be assured that those leaders will give everything they have to encourage and challenge their replacements to wake up, suit up, and impose their will for sixty minutes.

You could play on my team any day, OP. 3-0 is 3-0 and this coming Saturday we're going to see players step up who, although mentioned prominently when practicing and only against fellow team members, I think this weekend we'll have some names which have, to date and for the most part, only been mentioned on big orange publications. Who will they be? On the D-line, Shy Tuttle's and Kahlil McKenzie's names are likely to be brought up...and as a pair as much as individuals. Kongbo'? Yes Bo. At LB, Quarte' Sapp and ??? (Stamper ???????) will begin reacting quicker and hitting the proper holes. On the back end and corners, Foreman's back and should solidly-enough patch Cam's absence to contain the Gators 2nd team QB. Let's expect Micah Abernathy's name to pop up, too' and TKJ and Nigel Warrior and who knows who (?). Now. Don't give me that "UF's backup qbs always destroy us" schtick. This guy's a pure drop-back spring game loser. I'm not worried, either, about our offensive skill fellas. They'll come out of the wood-work inside a checker-boarded Neyland. Our OL? This is a tough one, but here's the kicker: Chance Hall and Jack Jones may well pick up where they left off at last season's Bama game. Remember that pair of OL bullies when lined up next to one another? When just those two are prominent in the lineup...the whole OL acquires a much more aggressive posture. This game will, most likely, still be close and UF may well pull off another one. However, I'm taking the trip up there to watch UT break the streak, and not to blow another one. Now. Would you fellow VNers please fill in the other names of fellas you think will "break out" this coming Saturday?
