Wish they would add a wide screen jumbotron to the endzone scoreboard...

Me too. They keep rennovating, but they never talk about doing this.

On another note, it is amazing how much bigger Neyland looks compared to the Rose Bowl. I only saw it on tv but it looks pretty small.

yeah the Rose Bowl seemed small. When you walk up, there's no ramps or anything. You walk straight through these tunnels (which sucked) under the seats to your seat, felt like I was at an ampitheater or something. But you had to stand in line to get thru the tunnel and they would only let a certain number thru.

I'm sure you will be glad to get back to Neyland then. Welcome home!

Thank you sir, and no doubt about it! There's not too many places I enjoy being at more than Neyland on a Saturday!
I will give it to them though, that Lot H was pretty fun, and set up well (for tailgating, but if there was an emergency I wouldn't want to be in that lot!) you could hardly walk through, let alone try to get an emergency crew through.

I thought they were getting rid of the south ramp and putting in a different kind of ramp system.

It was because the Rose Bowl is a hole in the ground. Think what Neyland would like from the outside if sunk the whole stadium into the ground such that the first row of the upper deck were at ground level.

As for the Neyland renovations. They'll be nice, but average fans like me are being pushed out in favor of corporate money to pay for it. It's a big gamble by the AD that may backfire.

I spent about 3 hours in Lot H. It was a complete circus. After all the build up all summer about how UCLA fans didn't care about football, I was impressed at how they tailgated in Lot H.

Totally agree. I have heard good things about the new one at Ole Miss and it was around $6 million. Though it would be SWEET if we could get one like Arkansas. I was blown away sitting next to it.

I really think it is because of the upper bowl/tier in Neyland. Neyland definitely looks bigger. I think the Big House looks smaller too (only seen it on TV) but again it only has one bowl/tier.

I had zero issues with the tunnel and getting to my seat. Wasn't bad at all. Just my perpective.

we stood in line cramped like sardines for a good 10-20 minutes outside the tunnel, then another 5-7 minutes in the tunnel.

Yea, I thought the ramp at Gate 10 was being done away with.

Same here. Lot H was fun until after the game when it was a trash dump. That group of UCLA fans might care about their football but they had no respect for Lot H when they were done.

I guess we just got there early enough. I think we were in our seats 30-35 minutes before kickoff. We never stopped walking from the ticket gate to our seats. :)

yeah seriously, IMO that's the most needed renovation

That's the least needed renovation. The jumbotron is nice for replays, but we were fine too without it. Actually it was better then; there were less loud ass commercials telling us who received the damn Food City Tailgaters of the game or screaming at us to go to Pilot or random noise between every timeout. I can't imagine what Hamilpawn would offer us if we got a big screen, HD one.

Does anyone know why they dont host a bowl game at Neyland. It's one of the top stadiums in the country?
