The success of the football team is getting old! I can remember when a season like 2000 was a "down" year with unproven QBs. An 8-4 record was not awful, considering the talent that graduated.

It has been down hill since the end of the 2001 season. A loaded preason #4 team that finished 8-5 was the start on the downhill slide. The only season that I feel Tennessee has met their goals since 2001 was in 2004. Sine the start of 2002, records of 8-5, 10-3, 10-3, 5-6 and 9-4 have been the norm. Expectations have been lowered by many Vol fans as well as on a national basis.

I realize teams cannot have undefeated or 1 or 2 loss seasons every year. However, UT has not had been a national threat since 2001. That is unacceptable.

I admire Coach Fulmer and the things that he has done at UT. His first 10 seasons were great. But as most are saying.. it should time for him to step down at seasons end.

It is time for a change. Coach Fulmer has already peaked. I know Joe Pa has things headed back in the right direction at PSU. It was a long shot for Joe Pa and it rarely works. Coach Fulmer says he would only like to coach 4-6 more years. IMO, all that will do is keep UT in the middle of the pack in the SEC.. where 8-4 and 7-5 seasons will continue to be the norm.

It is time for a chance in the Vol nation. Rocky Top needs to get back to winning and competing with ANYONE in the country. It is not going to happen while Coach Fulmer is still on the sidelines.
