This is beginning to get expensive!

This is ridiculous...5 games not televised. I can understand the crappy non-conference, but SEC match-ups against decent schools (MSU, VU) is a little much.

LSU at Ole Miss, wow enjoy that blowout CBS.

Kentucky at Georgia on LFS I can understand, should be a good game.

I guess ESPN/ESPN2 just doesn't enjoy Knoxville anymore. Only one trip this year and that's only because Spurrier was there.

I guess they'll choose the LSU vs Ole Miss blowout over Vandy vs UT. CBS will most definitely choose UK vs UGA. Unless, of course, they've already picked.

kind of surprised CBS chose that instead of the UK/GA game. and also surprised ESPN isn't picking up any of them.

in years past, GA/KY or TN Vandy would be on CBS, LSU/Ole Miss would be on ESPN and LF would p/u the one that ESPN didn't.

weird year again.

I thought there could only be 3 games on PPV for an SEC team in one season (in our case, Southern Miss, Ark. State, and Miss State) which is why the La-Laf game wasn't on PPV.

This lack of exposure and indifference from television has got to hurt recruiting.....If this trend continues the end result will be that we will start having to schedule a Top 25 caliber team for all of our out of conference games instead of just one per year, to ensure that we are being sufficiently seen - which will only make it that much tougher to get back to a BCS game.....

That's true - last week's game wasn't on PPV....I think the limit is 3 and we've had Southern Miss, Miss St., Ark St.

Just more fuel for the fire. Vandy on ppv oh well its bob kesling for me unforunately. I've already wasted my money on southern miss and ark st won't do it again this year.

Actually, the ULL game could have been on PPV, but Hamilton decided that it was more important to keep homecoming activities at their scheduled times than to move kickoff and get PPV coverage. The rule is that we cannot schedule PPV at the same time as other SEC broadcasts. We can ask for one exemption to that rule. We had an exemption for ULL, but gave it up to have the Miss St broadcast. If the UT-VU kickoff is scheduled around the CBS & LF broadcasts, we could have PPV.

I wonder how much money UT has lost this year by not having nationally televised games.

The AJC is reporting:

The Nov. 17 Georgia-Kentucky game was picked up by Lincoln Financial Sports to be televised at 12:30 p.m.

CBS opted to broadcast LSU at Ole Miss for its 3:30 p.m. slot, meaning ESPN will likely choose the Vanderbilt-Tennessee game in Knoxville for its 7:45 p.m. broadcast.

5/12 games not on regular tv, that pretty much tales the tale on how well our program stands out nationally
