Yeah...but not by Tennessee anytime soon. Sorry to rain on your moral victory parade. The talent/coaching gap is wider than the love child of Rebel Wilson and John Candy.

What I saw last night were two programs dedicated to winning and playing in big games who make Tennessee look like D2 high school ball currently.

Be that as it may, it was damn fun watching Alabama, not “Bama”, get their asses mauled by Clemson.

I'm extremely happy that Bama lost but Clemson winning and in the way that they did doesn't help the Vols get closer in recruiting. It looks like Clemson and Bama are 1 and 1a for the next couple of years to come. The way Clemson handled Bama's defensive line was astounding. Trevor Lawrence being around for at least another 2 years is scary, especially playing in a very weak ACC. At least with CBB you have some hope that freshmen studs go pro after that first year.

We are still gonna get our asses handed to us on that date for at least another five years
Just as bad is hearing all the off season narrative on "2019 Bama Revenge Tour" by ESPN, SDS, etc, etc...you know it's coming. The kicker they signed from Hoover just became one of their biggest commitments.

Bama ain't gonna last forever. They took a giant leap toward the sunset last night. When more realize they are beatable with sound coaching, it will just be a matter of time--and the clock is ticking!

To me it just proved Bama can be beaten but you have to play without fear, bring your A game and get get some turnovers. They have really good players and are really well coached.Hopefully we can get back it making it a game again.
And you have to be in the neighborhood with them talent-wise. We could play them 20 times in a row and not come within 28.

That is true.If we win some games we'll see what Pruitt can do but i like what he's done so far
I agree with you. I really like JP and I think he can get us back. But seeing the talent gap we have versus top teams it’s going to be a multi year process. Roster has to fully turn over and we need top classes.

Anyone cheering for Bama over SEC pride trash after getting beat 12 years in a row should have their head examined. I hope this is the beginning of their end. It can be slow and painful, here is to hoping. SEC pride, which sounds a little fruity if you ask me and Bama dominance hasn't done nothing for Tennessee.

I THINK I know what you're saying: that all this S-E-C! S-E-C! S-E-C! crap is just crap. There might be one or two SEC teams that I MIGHT cheer for, given the right circumstances against the right opponent -- but as a matter of course, to hell with the rest of the SEC. Other than conference revenue sharing, there's nothing good for those damned redneck bammers that is good for us. Anything that benefits those damned redneck bammers is ipso-facto bad for us.

And anybody who says otherwise should have their heads examined -- like you said!

All that may be true, bammer lover, but that doesn't detract from me basking in their global embarrassment anytime it does happen.

Lol. Comments like these that make me think many "fans" here haven't even stepped foot in Neyland.

Nice post. It is great to see Bama get manhandled. Plus Dabo is a great rags to riches story. It is easy to root for him. One of my favorite coaches in the game. I can't wait to see UT competitive again in the TSIO. It will happen. Everything in life runs in cycles.
