Winning college football is all about pressure. Think about it...1998...we weren't the best team in the nation all the way, but we brought the pressure when we had to, and it helped us win....what...maybe 3 games we would have otherwise lost? Syracuse...Florida...Arkansas.

Pressure. Both sides of the ball.

On offense, gotta pressure the secondary. How? Gotta establish the run. Quality run. 4 yards a pop. Pound the ball, and when the safeties and corners move up...play long ball.

Defense. Two-fold. Stuff the run, and keep a hat on the QB all day long. If we can whip the QB, and the run, against Cal, USM, UF, and UGA,...that's four qualiity wins...and a long ways towards a 10, or 11, or who knows, season.

There's an old axiom in college football: Speed kills.

Here's another one: Pressure wins.

Go Vols.

I'm changing topics a little bit and just discussing what I think will make TN successful this year.

1. A good running game

2. Run defense

3. Luck

4. We need to have a good conversion % on 3rd down and less than 5.

5. Colquitt needs to be lights out in under 30 yard situations.

If all those stars align then TN will have a really good season in my opinion.

How about getting better at beating the damn Gators.

And also, if we ever play Penn ST again, try and show up instead of playing dead.
